Definitely. I wouldn’t be surprised if prices adjust further on 2024 inventory between a) inauguration on the 20th b) earnings announced on the 29th or c feb 1.
I agree, interestingly some of the inventory $1,600 discounts disappeared locally and are listed full price today.

With the 2024 not qualifying for the federal tax credit they need to do some much bigger discounts to move them IMO.

I am still seeing 2024 non-FS Beasts down $2k and non-FS AWD down $1600. I think a 5K reduction would probably move some units…

Agreed, I think that would help and get some buyers off the fence, 5k seems reasonable. Overall though it needs to be a permanent reduction.

I'm in California, and my local Inventory page is offering discounts and incentives on all of the expensive Teslas (but not the Model 3 or Model Y).

Model S: Many "Reduced Price" options. Banner: "Receive free Supercharging when you purchase a new Model S".

Model X: Many "Reduced Price" options. Banner: "Model X All-Wheel Drive: One paid option included with purchase of Full Self-Driving (Supervised)."

Cybertruck: Many "Reduced Price" non-Foundation options. Banner: "Receive free Supercharging when you take delivery of a new Foundation Series Cybertruck by January 31."

And we're only at the beginning of the quarter, not the end.

Funny you should mention mid-January Model Y price drops..

Because now I'm also seeing "Reduced Price" options for the Model Y. Not yuuuge, like $1000-$2000, but definitely still "price adjustments".

You can still get Free SuperCharging if you purchase a Foundation Series by January 31… Foundation Demo vehicles as it seems to be, and a few which are old stock.

???‍♂

Tesla is currently offering the Free Supercharging deal on two different vehicles: the Cybertruck and the Model S. But the conditions are different.

For the Cybertruck, you only get Free Supercharging on the Foundation Series, which are all 2024s, and only if you get delivery by January 31. So it appears to be a short-term promotion, intended to move old stock as stated above.

For the Model S, on the other hand, all vehicles (including both 2024s and 2025s) qualify, and there is no time limit. This suggests that there may be an ongoing demand issue with the Model S.

For 4Q 2024, Cox Automotive estimated US sales of the Model S at 1,623. That does seem rather low, although the Model S is also sold in Canada, Europe, and Asia.

Presumably the Model Y discounts are intended to clear inventory of the "old-style" Model Y, in advance of the "refreshed" Model Y.

The Shanghai factory is already making the refreshed Model Y, and the transition is underway at the Berlin factory. The two North American factories, Fremont and Texas, should follow soon as well.

February 1st will be the moment of truth to announce free supercharging for all early adopters. I can’t wait!

I sincerely hope you’re just trolling at this point as opposed to being that pathetically oblivious.

They are really stingy with everything now compared to the Tesla of pre 2018.
