Guys, let's just put an end to this and all agree to disagree that @igs is not functioning at full mental capacity.

@igs:
1) Please stop buying FSD, buying Teslas, and farming on this thread.
2) The obvious call-to-action in this situation was for you to be monitoring your blindspot - either physically or via the Camera feed. Period.
3) Stop trying to shove a cylindrical piece into a square hole.

My suggestion to you is simple:
Stop trying to "win" or care what others think - right or wrong. You've already submitted your voice note to Tesla and hopefully in future iterations they will use this to learn. Simple. I suggest you "report" this thread and request the moderators to take it down and let this be the end of it.

Tesla: "To maintain service life, the battery pack should be stored at a state of charge (SOC) of 15 to 50%."

Tesla has to be able to defend all of the language regarding FSD in court
Did you read a single thing I wrote?

Why do you keep conflating a failure of FSD with the responsibility of outcome? No one is blaming anyone here. No claim is being filed. No one suing Tesla. No one is disputing driver is always responsible when using FSD.

Here’s what I know:

1. This is a complex intersection/corridor that is poorly designed, typically peopled with morons, vagrants, and wayward visitors (who are often confused that they got this far off the strip - maybe trying to get to Chick-fil-A or In-N-Out which are both to the west of this intersection).

2. Most of Vegas is laid out in simple straight grids. This is not. I gave a map showing how many side streets there are intersections coming off of the I-15 and people should know that while it’s called Sahara Avenue now, that throughfare used to be called State Route (SR) 589.

So, what you really have here is an extensive intersection between a state highway and a national interstate coupled with a bunch of side streets, crossovers, vagrants and visitors. I already explained how many accidents there are here regularly. It’s a mess!

Here’s what I think:

1. @igs is not a local and didn’t know any of the above. He’s minding his business coming from California exiting onto Sahara to go to his hotel, event, traditional cybertruck firework-infused self-immolation (AKA “lightshow”) [too soon?] or, whatever it was that he was here for. Even if he had navigated this intersection multiple times in the past, he wouldn’t necessarily know that it’s always unsafe (I’ll that he does now) and you always need to be cautious here.

2. @igs is being a more than a little bit melodramatic in the title of this post, and that’s his prerogative.

3. 9/10 times what FSD did here would’ve been perfectly fine. And even here nobody died or was going to die.

4. Supervision is key!

5. Many human drivers (meat sacks) screw things up in this intersection every single day. The AI is going to be better than us - by leaps and bounds - it isn’t yet.

Actually, my wife says the AI drives better than I do! She prefers it!
