Thanks Carl Fredricksen, for taking the time to edit out what I actually said in my post, to just write, " No comment"
Hey, I spent those 20 seconds doing that editing. Why does Carl get all the thanks?

Lol obviously never used it.
I've been using FSD since v10 and there is no doubt v12 is the worst. The majority of people on the Tesla forum and Youtube are in agreement. With me.

Wow. So have I and v12.3 is the best version by a BIG margin.

Also, where's your evidence that the majority of people agree with you? Would love to see how you calculated that.

In the current conditions, FSD is one of those things I say - damn if you do damn if you don’t! I can’t imagine how many click bait articles will spin overnight if Tesla Cybertruck crashes because of half tested FSD. Everyone will blame Tesla for releasing something without testing. If they don’t, then we see this frustration built up. Elon’s optimism doesn’t help much. I think whenever Elon promises something, I see that as less of a promise and more of a target that he has set for the team. I know it doesn’t help, but at least it’ll help us make peace with the fact that it’s not a promise but a deadline he is trying to hit. That’s how I consoled myself with the CT price. He didn’t promise anybody to deliver $50K truck. He really wanted the team to hit that price point, but it just didn’t happen. Here we are. Take it or leave. After following his trend for so many years, I honestly don’t think he over promises and under delivers. He just sets the bar too high because of being overly optimistic and bullish, and then he eventually delivers. I’m definitely not trying to defend anything. I’m just giving a different perspective on the facts. He would have told the team to have FSD by June, and then went to twitter and said the same to everyone. That’s just how he rolls, IMO.

Don’t count me in that tally. I know multiple people that didn’t trust earlier versions and swear by V12.

Basic question for all of those who have their CTs and are whining about not having FSD as well as to those who are still waiting for their CT:

would you rather the initial sales date of Nov 2023 been delayed for 12 months so that the initial release of trucks came with FSD? In other words would everyone rather have their truck delayed by one year regardless of whether they were buying FSD? My answer is “hell no!”

I'll give credit where credit is due, v12.5 is significantly better than the previous v12.x versions. It's the best version so far.

Nintendo Switch.

I bought it on release day. There were 2 games that interested me but I knew that Nintendo would have more in time. I trusted that. My family spent the next several months playing the few games we had. Eventually, more games were released, and the Switch became better for it.

Reading through this thread made me think about that. It's not a direct comparison. It's an exercise in patience and trust. It's the cost of being an early adopter. It's the advantage of having something now and waiting on something great. It beats turning down something great while waiting on perfection.

Imagine waiting for the perfect Cell phone and not wanting to have something outdated...

The early adopter tax for cell phone users is probably over $100 a month... Got to have the next one. Not the current one, the next one. Next, better, best.

It sucks waiting on FSD to be perfect, but I'll enjoy the first few games while I wait.
