Absolutely loving the Cybertruck in my first few weeks of ownership. The vault has had zero leaks in the heavy CA rain.

I only have a couple gripes:

1) The area where the dash touches the door (when the door is closed) makes a squeaking sound over bumps in the road (does anyone else have this?)

and

2) There is no option for a physical key, unlike for the model 3/Y.

I am wondering if the 3/Y optional key would work on the Cybertruck, but I don't want to order it without having an idea if it would be compatible. Any thoughts?

Not totally certain, but I think I recall the Model 3 not having a key FOB right away on it's initial ramp, so who knows maybe they'll have one for the Cybertruck a little later down the road?

I imagine the dash is not supossed to actually touch the door. Is there a gap between these two items on the other side?

I thought Cybertruck came with a physical keycard (made of metal). Is that not the case? I keep one keycard in my wallet that is programmed to open and operate all three of our Model 3s. I was hoping I could program it to work with the Cybertruck too.

We use our two M3 key fobs on our MY, that we kept when trading in our M3 to Tesla for the Y. They work fine on the Model Y, so would think they would work on the Cybertruck too.

Has anyone actually seen this? So far I only know of a brief mention in an app update. Then a few people posted metallic vinyl stickers on their keycards, which have nothing to do with tesla.

I had a key fob for my 2014 MS and loved it. Never had to take it out of my pocket. I used to work in a prison so cellphones were a no no. Having that fob was convenient.

Right! ? we’d get in more trouble for having them in the institution than they would.

The CT does come with two keycards. I don’t think they were metal, I don’t carry mine with me but I’ll come edit this post to confirm when I get home. The phone key uses UWB if you have an iPhone so it’s really accurate, hasn’t failed for me once in a week of driving.

They are supposed to work on the M3/MY as well, I haven’t paired mine with my Y yet.

I've used FOB for my S so long it's part of me. Walk out to car with hands full and door handles present. Having to use cell or card in hand will be pain in the butt. I'll buy one if option??

Thanks for clearing up the door opening.
Not. We have card in pocket, still to touch pillar for door to open? Go to cell, still have to touch pillar. Learning curve.

You only have to touch the pillar with the key card. If you’re using your cellphone as a key it’ll unlock automatically when you approach. You’ll just have to push the button to open the door.
