1 877 798 3752Which number are you calling for these updates?
i mean people who understand finances and how finances work know these things yea .. we know how long pre approvals last (or know to ask) and its common sense they cant force you to pay before you have the product there to actually take ownership of. so yea most of this is on the consumer for not being savvy enough, but they should help out those who arent savvy and thats on them. The reason this keeps happening (and that it sucks so much), is the app tells you complete all of your tasks to not delay your delivery. Then when you come here (or call an actual human at tesla), the response is "oh, no, you never have to pay this early". As if that should be obvious somehow.
So you hit VIN stage, it asks for payment which you'd logically assume means you must be close. And then weeks go by with no update. But you've already either fully paid, or paid a down payment, or whatever. That's different than if you are only out your $100 reservation and $1000 order deposit.
Same thing with trade in and loans expiring. The app acts like you're missing stuff unless you do those steps, but then when you do them and they expire, it's somehow on you for not knowing things that you wouldn't have known.
That sounds annoying. They should of at least sent some of them, whatever they had ready. Did you get a refund or delivery at all? This first-time(and last) Chinese supplier of mine was already behind schedule.
I was desperate for the dresses for a particular school, I finally received confirmation my order and especially the dresses were on the ship.
I should have them in hand 1 week before school starts. Phew....!!
On a Monday got a call, my delivery was on a truck, should have them Tuesday or Wed at the latest.
We contacted hundreds of customers.. "Your order is ready on Friday for pickup".
Thursday afternoon the truck arrived, BUT no dresses. They were never on the ship!!! Can you imagine hundreds of irate mothers willing to kill you ?
Anyway, I begged and paid my local dressmaker a fortune, and fixed.
The moral of the story, something has happened in the background, maybe the driver committed, and then had an argument with his missus, or his truck kept breaking down...
End of the day, the showroom would have had the best intentions, but I think likely got the run around by a series of unfortunate circumstances or a bad apple.
It's one of the pleasures of retail.
The manufacturer was waiting for buttons, causing the original delay, and never got them on time. . Their admin incorrectly confirmed with my agent my order was complete and shipping. We misinformed our customers. Big fuckups are usually a result of a sequence of smaller fuckups. lolThat sounds annoying. They should of at least sent some of them, whatever they had ready. Did you get a refund or delivery at all?
There are many variables, so relax.Got my VIN assigned Sunday 29th Jan. I called them next day - they said truck due Sunday 4th, so set up delivery appointment for Tuesday 6th. Called them Sunday 4th to confirm if truck arrived, answer “not yet - now due 5th”. On 5th, they call me and asked me to move delivery to 8th. I was working on 8th, so asked them to reschedule to Sunday 11th. Friday they call me. Still don’t have truck. Say it was meant to come on Thursday 9th. They call me again this morning. Truck still not there. Frankly with all the technology that Tesla has, I would think they should be able to tell me to the second when it is going to arrive. But frankly, they really don’t have any idea. How long do I let this go on for, before I call Elon? They took my $45k cash deposit just fine. Should have arranged to keep the money in my account. Total BS. Frustrated. Irvine Delivery Center.
Why would there be a refund? It's still going to be delivered. That sounds annoying. They should of at least sent some of them, whatever they had ready. Did you get a refund or delivery at all?
I doubt anyone would challenge the feelings, and it is certainly a heads up for everyone to set their expectations, but this mirrors my experience with my Model Y; they are very automated and fast with what they expect from you and damn near neanderthalic when providing what you need. Let’s hope that it improves over time. The reason this keeps happening (and that it sucks so much), is the app tells you complete all of your tasks to not delay your delivery. It probably won't/hasn't changed since I got my model Y. whatever they have to promise you to get you to accept it, and then slow walking the solutions they promised they would reach out to you to solve on several occasions. I expect the same here. Broken or stained parts? Probably will have to chase them for replacements.Let’s hope that it improves over time.
