Has the Cybertruck hate cooled off since March?

Hey everyone, I’m hoping to buy a Cybertruck soon and wanted a quick vibe check. Back in March the sentiment around me felt pretty negative. I live in a more liberal area, and at the time it seemed like owning a CT drew a lot of eye rolls and snark.

Now it’s August and I’m seeing many more Cybertrucks on the road. For those in similar areas, has the hate died down? How are your day-to-day interactions lately: driving, parking lots, neighbors, at work, Superchargers? Any noticeable shift over the past few months?

I’d appreciate real-world anecdotes before I pull the trigger. Thanks.

I just had one on a 48hr demo from Tesla - precisely because I wanted to see what it was like to live with as I was also worried about the hate.

Honestly some gentle ribbing from 'real' pickup owners who are friends (Promptly quashed when they get a drive in it)

Other than that just seems overblown MSM nonsense.

Also not sure I care now, I've test driven all the EV pickups the last month and for what I want this is far and away the best.

It’s very regional dependent IMO. The hate is strong in my neck of the woods. People yelling and shit 🤷🏼‍♂️ supposedly there are cybertruck utopia areas. These are a myth to me.
Live in Utah, had the truck since Feb. 25. Had on instance in April when visiting Jackson, Wyoming (a middle finger and called a fascist) and a month later (a thumbs down in our home town) That's it so not bad!

It really wasn't that bad unless you lived in California, North West Washington, Oregon, or some parts of the east coast.

In the peak of the hate, Chicago was pretty bad too... Now it's smooth sailing boys..

Not looking for reactions greatly reduces negative reactions.

"If someone flicks off a Cybertruck in the woods and no one is there to see it, does anyone care?" -George Berkeley probably

I live just outside of Scranton, PA. No real hate other than some middle fingers when the noise was at its max. I’ve done a couple car shows and it’s been nothing but curiosity and honestly people are impressed once they get to see this thing in person. I tell everyone that you really need to drive it for a while to comprehend how good it is.

I'm in Florida, so probably a little different environment.

The only hate I've ever gotten was captured on Sentry mode where an older woman (with her husband) gave my Tesla double bird signs...but it was to our Model S, not our Cybertruck lol.

NJ chiming in - I'm in a fairly liberal area and getting fingers doesn't bother me in the least and I could care less about words. As long as they don't touch my stuff it isn't a problem. However, I haven't seen much hate lately, seems to have died down a bit. The truck is amazing, get one, enjoy it and drown out all the other noise.

I'd recommend not buying this truck if you are already concerning yourself with the opinions of low IQ foons who need to be locked in a mental institution lol

But the vandalism was pretty much isolated to metro cities anyway; and that level of loony isn't going to fade.
