Roast me.
Good for you!
I would not go as far as cancelling reservation, just in case.. ;)
I totally understand if you want EV truck now. I considered F150L myself but it is not inspiring, just very overpriced bootstrapped meh truck. I also realized that I dont want EV truck (or any other EV car) I want Tesla truck, Cybertruck!

Enjoy! (and I dont care what you place in line was :) )

If you compare the Ford to the Chevy, it is no contest. Chevy by a mile. C&D, R&T, and many more have done side-by-sides and the WT4 creams the Ford. More range, more room, etc. The Ford is a conversion of the existing F-150, the Chevy is a new EV from the ground up. GM makes its own batteries, Ford's are made by the Chinese. If anything will compete with the CT, it will be the E Silverado. Unfortunately, GM burned its cash horde during the strike and can no longer afford to build its new EV plant. But Tesla is not exactly machine gunning CT's out the door ...
On a recent RV trip to Yosemite, rode for several hours in a buddy's Chevy with some sort of a variable engine. Nice Truck. He said there had been some sort of issue with the engine at some point. Chevy didn't notify him of the issue, he discovered it on a long trip from San Diego and had to end up leaving it at a dealership away from home to have it addressed. Yosemite is beautiful!

Ok, so let me ask this question. What company(ies) do you do business with where you like everything that everyone in the company does and/or believes?

I’m going to assert that this is quite a bit about our not very limited visibility of all that surrounds EM, and how little visibility we have into most other companies and their leaders. There are people everywhere in every company with someone doing something you might not approve of. Are you ready to write them ALL off?
how may people know Ford was a Hitler fan ?

Except for payload, The Chevy can only haul like 1200 lbs. And only if you don't have 3 big 250lb Americans sitting in the cab.

to be fair, others don't proactively attempt to make themselves pop super-stars

i think it's a little disingenuous to equate musk to every other corporate exec

It's true, Elon puts himself "out there" more than any other CEO. But anyone saying "I refuse to buy Tesla since Elon is a jerk" is under the mistaken impression that CEOs are wholesome folk that share their values.

how is it mistaken, if what people are saying is that they have (A) a bare minimum requirement, and (B) any baseline consistency

people boycott target, walmart, Chick-fil-A, and any number of corporations whose business or management decisions they find antithetical with their bare minimum requirement of some baseline consistency with, if nothing else, decorum if not values

just as Musk can say what he wants, so can consumers
