Start working again?
I have not tried again yet. I have a Service appt tomorrow for an unrelated issue. I want to get done with that before trying it again. For now, I have just removed the wiretap to get it back to factory condition.

The Attention Monitoring does behave much better now though, so if the above comments are true, I am hopeful it will work this time. I will update this thread after trying it again.

Looks like other people have finally been dealing with the issue I had a few weeks ago. Have you updated recently? I had the same issue happen after the previous 2025.2.9 update. You didn’t short anything. Just leave it unplug and try plugging it back in in a week or wait for an update. After a week of being unplugged and then trying it again , it started working. Could be an update bug or just a temporary thing. But mines been working fine since.
UPDATE: Tesla Service center told me that the warmth around cabin camera is normal. Attention Monitoring is sensitive at night and sometimes has issues. If the issue persists, they'd want evidence that no handheld device was being used with timestamps to troubleshoot the issue further.

BUT, the I tapped the power again for Radar Detector and it's been working fine. Thank you for your help, I am a happy camper now!

Good stuff. Yeah I think the update just kicked the vehicle into a diagnostic state for a few days then it kicks itself back. I’ve updated 2 times since then and no issues either time with the radar now.

I’m having issues, not sure if similar.

Tapped into this same connector. Worked for 3 days, then my detector just refuses to power on, parked or during drive.

I don’t have a multimeter so I can’t tell if there’s power in the connector.

Should I remove the connector altogether or just leave it connected, but unplugged to the radar detector for a few days?
