I definitely am gonna buy an extension to give me a top of the steering wheel as I idle my left hand at the 12 oclock when driving.
I'll just repeat myself again:

Don't complain when the airbag makes you punch yourself in the face with a broken arm.
Also, Tesla has the option for their round steering wheel.

I'm sorry my hand positioning while driving is unsatisfactory to you. I'm also sorry for you have to repeat yourself.

Oh, I don't care your hand positioning. (For the most part: Make sure some hand is on the wheel!) You're not driving my truck, and it's not my arm that'll be broken when your airbag goes off. ^-^

I will make an adapter flip so I can on the wheel at the top while reversing and hide away when driving.

Price: $16K seems appropriate to match a hose repair.

Tri motor 0-60 is 2.9, a speedometer center dash is nessasary!

I'm surprised the designers didn't consider projecting the speed on the windshield like a jet. That's the only thing that needs the driver's constant attention... and it doesn't require touch interaction.

A friend of mine had that way back in 1993 on a Pontiac Bonneville.

The center screen is perfect where it is, so both driver and passenger can interact with it.

My Model 3 keeps my speed... Speed keeping is completely automated out. Go test drive a Tesla (y), you'll see what I mean!

I was just about to say the same thing. With Autopilot or even just traffic aware cruise, you don't really need to check your speed often at all.

When the road gets too windy for autopilot to be comfortable, I'm too busy driving to focus on numbers.

“I find that freeing up the dash in front of me has allowed me to stress less about the safety of my passengers and enjoy the scenery. I just enjoy the drive more.”

“ I, personally, LOVE the feeling of just driving. Just me, the steering wheel, and the road and sky.”

You blew the reason of my starting this thread out of the water. The same reason I enjoy riding a motorcycle.
If you have mutability in a small screen in front of the steering wheel, I would assume you could put NOTHING on that screen. The idea, is that you put what you want - or not.
