I'd run the entire list of 2.! million orders with Foundation Series offers over the next 3-4 years before making less expensive models available. Why leave money on the table? Charge people more who want one earlier, it's the American way!

You think buyers of $140K Model S Plaid's aren't peeved? Tesla just doesn't care. And on a vehicle they are only producing in limited volumes they absolutely could/should sell them for higher prices.

BUT....I'd give existing Tesla owners who have been shafted by accelerated depreciation a break. Maybe $5K off. Just because.

It's tesla. They give zero craps if you feel ripped off later on. Ask the people who bought plaids 18 months ago.
What?

Do you think they should get a refund just like a legacy dealership does when they realize they sold identical cars on the same day to different people for $10,000 more for one car than the other?

The difference is that Tesla has price transparency.

FS will keep going until their are no more people accepting the offer. Then there will be a break until all FS orders are fullfilled before they open non FS. By then a Non-FS with FSD will cost the same. $100k for AWD and $120k for Beast. They are just going to push and pull levers based on demand and supply.

Elon already tweeted our economy is based on supply and demand. He knows what he is doing to maximize revenue.
Not likely is my speculation. Believe they will keep non FS under $80k for tax credit and those who ordered fsd with prebook will pay $7k. We can all take a guess and someone will be closest towards the end of the year.

I would argue, that's capitalism... In business, there are no feelings and emotions, only that of the employees, the business is only meant to profit.
There are certainly feelings, but those feelings don't set the price in a free-market economy.

It looks like some people have no idea how bad artificial price controls can screw up an otherwise well-functioning free-market economy.

I'm confident that "foundation series" will continue to live on as a "better value" for anyone planning on purchasing FSD, and that non-foundation series models will have a higher base price after this order period.

The trucks will definitely not be immediately $20k cheaper after this order period.

My estimate is that the non FS AWD cybertruck will cost $85k, and that FSD will increase in price from $12k to $15k.

So if you don't want FSD you'll save some cash. And if you bought FS, you won't. feel ripped off.
It will be interesting to see if people cross-shop.. at 73K not including incentives, the R1T presents a pretty good value, other than being "bland" and made of tin can paper mache. There are now enough on the street that they don't get all that much attention but soon enough that will be the same for the CT. Even though I've been "promised" FSD is locked in at 7K, it still presents a tough sell because I can rent FSD for 200/month for when I want it which is still only 7300 after 3 years, which is about how long a lot of folks keep their vehicles. IF Tesla ever solves the real FSD problem, obviously they will raise the hell out that price, and probably go to a subscription-only model.

Also, Tesls is still advertising the AWD CT at 79k, not including incentives... by the time they push out all the FS orders that might be all the die-hards that are left to purchase the CT just based on it being different, and a Tesla.. Time will tell.

I'm not sure where I made that claim? Someone said the pricing of non-FS would go up when FS ended so that the FS buyers "didn't feel ripped off". I was responding to that, saying tesla would never consider that as a factor in price changes. I never made a claim whether they should or shouldn't, or what legacy auto does or doesn't do.

Just a list of 2.5 million reservation holders to go through. I think people assuming that FS are "about done" are mistaken, by about 2.4 million FS invites.

One year no sale clause is the price control for sure.
I agree, but I also feel it's Tesla's prerogative (I say as a customer as well as you). We have the choice of whether we wish to buy from a company we know does this, which ultimately makes us more powerful than them. I still believe Tesla is the best car on the road and will deal with what I have to. First vehicle I'd ever drop $136k on, even knowing I can't sell it for a year.

Don't get me wrong. The true CT value is way above 120k for it it now.

It makes other vehicles so "outdated". It is CT vs others even include their own lineup S3XY.

Ya damn skippy...

After this long of a wait and then the FS thing coming about I was kinda jus "shut up and take my money". I lack impulse control, and then was like "well, you waited this long". We are just blessed to be able to have that choice, especially in this economy.

Be proud my Cyberfriends!

I think they will continue the Foundation ones until production at the factory outpaces the orders. So far it doesn't seem like that has happened yet.

If I bought any other Tesla new, I likely wouldn't get FSD again, I feel fleeced buying it in my 2021 M3P. However, I wouldn't ever buy a Tesla without EAP. These EAP features all work, I use summon almost every day and it's incredibly helpful.

The fact FSD is locked in for the same price as EAP, that's reason enough to take the plunge. It's unlikely FSD will ever fulfill its promise, but EAP is already doing what it claims and it's worth every penny. If FSD does get there at some point, consider it free! If it doesn't, you just got EAP for a fair price.

Foundation series invites are almost done
The invites we are seeing in February are what remain of recoup of unconverted invites from the initial wave, back in December. The number of foundation series trucks is pretty much fixed at 15k or so.

These are NOT final prices

these are simply estimated prices

Final prices could easily be +- 10%
