I plan on doing a full tire rotation soon since I'm approaching 5K miles and I was out there messing with the truck and jack stands today just to make sure I have everything I need for the project.

I had the truck in 'medium' height and then engaged 'jack mode.'

My floor jack has a ~19-7/8 inch total jacking height and I'm using the 6-ton jack stands from harbor fright.

I'm a little put out on how the wheels have so much travel during jacking; has anyone come up with a simple standard operating procedure for getting the CT up on 4 jack stands efficiently? (interested in order of lifting as well utilizing the 4 jack points...)

I think I may try starting out with the ' high' height next time since all the travel seems to be there anyways.... maybe I need a floor jack with more throw?

Would be really cool if you could put the truck in extended jack mode... place the jack stands, and then have the wheels retract up for this operation!

Jack mode doesn't exactly help with clearance to be able to use a jack, it's to disable self leveling.

For jacking the vehicle, the proper procedure per Tesla is to enable jack mode, then set the truck in off-road mode in 'very high' suspension height. You will likely need to use a bottle jack to lift as a standard floor jack likely won't lift high enough.

I like these for lifted trucks - 'Powerbuilt 3 Ton, Bottle Jack and Jack Stands in One'

Thanks for the tip on the settings. That bottle jack only has 1.125'' more range than my floor jack; I'll give it a go!

Nice! Did you do an X-Cross with all for corners on jack stands or one side at a time?

I believe jack mode sets the truck on medium; I put in low & jack mode and saw medium subsequently. I used low profile jacks on each of the fronts, left them on jack stands and moved to the rear.

i put mine in entry and jack mode, it stayed at that height and was easy to get the wheels off. Also I believe the factory tires are directional, so you can’t do a cross pattern for rotating. (But I could be wrong)

Tires are unidirectional…..you can move them around as you see fit.

I had a guy put on 4 snow tires for me and he did the same thing no problem using 3 and 4 ton floor jacks. I asked him about it and he said he does have to block up his jacks when he does a large Range Rover.

I just had the tires rotated yesterday at a shop. They knew what they were doing and had the lift positioned correctly and had just started to lift it when the tech asked if I’d put it in Jack Mode. I’d forgotten. Jumped in to turn it on and it was already in Jack Mode. There must be some sensor that knew it was lifting and turned it on automatically.

Trying to change tires is a bitch. I don't see how Teslas tools w that tiny bottle jack will work.
I bought Harbor Freight offroad Badland jack. Had a 17" lift and is barely capable of getting it up enought to change a tire.
Jack mode only stops truck from Trying to self level. It should stop suspension from extending.

Are you sure your suspension didn't sag when you lifted it from Entry mode? Even in Jack Mode, this want my experience, others reporting the same, suspension sags to full extension as the truck is lifted.
