License plate bolt size?

Does anyone know the size of the Cybertruck license plate bolts? Are they M5 X 8mm ?

I just installed mine. I don’t know the size but I can give you the part numbers if that’ll help.

It would be a lot easier if the manufacturers would just include 4 with delivery o the vehicle. I use ss on my Y 5 mm I believe. but I had to drive to the hdwre store to get them. I would have like not to have to go and get them. I would rather the maker have added $5 to the cost of my car.

do we know what size the screws are? I wish I were better at telling screw sizes just by looking, but I don't think they're M5 or M6 screws. the pitch is too wide to be a machine screw. I'm guessing they're 1/4"-14 screws--I need longer than the stock 3/4" for my license plate frame thickness, so I may just buy some security screws off amazon and try them.

With my truck, I received a plastic mount for the front plate, 3 bolts for that mount, and 2 packs of 4 screws. I needed no other hardware.

Did you have to drill the holes for the rear plate? My truck seems to have a slot for the screws for the rear, but it looks like they aren't threaded.

IIRC, the screws for the rear plate are self-tapping.

If so, they’ll just thread right into those indentations.

My front plate bracket was missing the four self-tapping screws. The SC gave me a set.

Here's a photo of what came for my plates, 2 sets of these. They are Truss head self tapping screws. 5mm diameter x 9mm long. For plastic, with very sharp threads, widely spaced, cross-head drive. Not stainless. Sorry for the focus.
