As i was driving on the highway, my light bar’s adhesive got completely removed and it was hanging on by the connection wire. I don’t want to bring it in for service cause it’ll take two weeks to get it in. Any manual fixes?

If you know anyone good shop then yes, but it's a warranty item so I would let them do it. Mine fell off a little over a month ago.

Take it to the SC and no need for an appointment.
Can i get mobile service to fix it? Put some scotch tape temporarily but I still don’t feel safe driving with this on the highway. Also took them 2 weeks to install the bar originally for some reason.

I’m scheduled to have mine installed on the 7th. Waited over 6 months and now I’m reading they are coming off?
I remember a video posted here from someone who said his fell off while driving down the freeway and everyone was calling BS on him. So guess maybe this is a real thing now? Any ideas if they have modified the insulation process with a different adhesive?

@Redfire he mentioned it above again. My light bar was installed on 11/25/24 and it is now lifting up on the drivers side. I’m scheduled to get it fixed on Monday.

I’d be happy to post some photos, not trying to fud Tesla but the only way for this to not become a huge issue is to get them to stop cutting corners as soon as possible. Came off after i hand washed the car, frequently go 100 on the highway and it’s stayed on perfectly. Was going like 60 when it popped off.

I believe you. I’m more asking if I should be worried now that this is becoming more frequent

It’s under warranty, I’d say go for it if you don’t care.

I use standard car washes, not touch free, if when I get my lightbar (FS Beast) should o assume I can’t use a car wash?

I’m guessing it was because of the car wash. Unless they change the adhesive, you probably shouldn’t go through a car wash.

Mine was installed in October of 2024, but so far, it is showing no signs of lifting anywhere, and I go through brushed car washes two or three times per week (I have PPF installed over all the stainless), but they know to turn off the side and front contact brushes (not the one above that gets the hood, windshield, roof and lightbar).

In fact, I am on my way there now to get my CT washed right now.

Could this be a temperature-related issue with whatever they use to adhere it to the truck? I live in South Florida, so cold temperatures are fairly rare.
