Has anyone had their lightbar installed, re-glued, and then experienced a cracked windshield?
This happened a couple of days ago for me in Georgia. Nothing crazy with the weather, no extreme temperature changes.
CT was perfectly fine in the morning and was parked at home most of the day. When I went out in the evening to go somewhere, I noticed two 3 feet cracks in the windshield. It apparently congregates somewhere under the lightbar, but I can't see it just yet.
Looks to be stress cracks as I don't see anything odd on the vehicle or animal prints amongst the layer of pollen.
Annoyed and hope the fix is covered somehow. I just took it into Service a couple of weeks ago to get the lightbar re-glued and they finished it within hours instead of a day. I'm wondering if there's a new process that does something with the windshield to get it to stick like drilling a hole or something. ??
