My CT has had this issue 4 separate times. I get in and put it in drive and notice that brake hold doesn’t work, and all my warning lights are on (traction control, abs, brake, cruise control, and adaptive ride control) The first time this happened, i called Tesla and they had me try a few things inside the car but nothing worked. Set up a schedule to come in but since the car was drivable, I went to work. When I came out, everything worked fine. I figured it was just one of those things. The problem is, it’s happening more often. It’s happened four separate times and every time, I just go to my destination and park and it fixes itself in a couple of hours. Anyone experience this?

Yes, I have a similar problem with adaptive ride control. Got red alarm on it in first couple of miles after delivery. Indicates a pin or short problem to drivers front strut. Some times it clears but always came back. CT in shop at Grand Rapids last Thursday, still waiting to hear when It might be ready to pick up. This error limited speed to 91 miles per hour but other than didn’t find anything else not working as a result of this error.

That’s one of the reasons i don’t want to take it in. I drive my CT practically everyday. I don’t want them holding the car not knowing what’s wrong. And no one knows when or why it happens and how it corrects itself. But the cruise control, regenerative braking, or brake hold will not work at all.
Thanks for your input. Please let me know the outcome

I just picked up my truck 3 days ago and I just had this issue come up last night? Did you ever get to the bottom of it? I tried resetting and reinstalling the software nothing is working .

The other case of this I remember on the forum needed a motor controller replacement.

I hope it's just a loose connector for you.

just had the same warnings come up yesterday driving back to Texas from South Dakota, 1200 miles of misery. Service screen says there is a short on the FR speed sensor. Taking it to the service center tomorrow.

The quick answer to this is no. I've taken my CT into the dealer a couple of times since then for different recalls and I've told this to them and sent pictures, but when they test drive and plug the into their system, they were not able to find anything. The problem pretty much stopped. I've had it happen once after a series of it happening for a while. And that was after I got it back from the dealer. But it again fixed itself and hasn't happened since. Hopefully, your issues won't be anything major. My problem felt major when the problem was present, but it went away so easily, I don't know what to make of it. Please keep us informed

YES!!! Exact same issue!! I notice as soon as I get in my Beast. All the alerts go off. Been in SC three times and they cannot find anything. This last time I tried walking away for 10m and came back and it was fine. WTH?!?!?! I’m going to send this thread to my SC.

Thank god I’m not alone with this issue. My SC in Plano, Tx cannot find anything or replicate the issue. The alarms/alerts go off as soon as I touch the brake when I get in. It’s happened 4x in the 6 weeks I’ve owned truck. Twice, I’ve been able to walk away for 5-10m and come back and she’s ready to go. No alerts. Makes me think it’s software. Upon waking up it cannot communicate as fast as needed so all systems reply NO GO.

Hello,
So, the best thing to do is take pictures of the screen when it happens. Make sure it has all the alerts, dates, and take it to the dealer. Show the technician what you're dealing with. My Tech knew me from before and was aware that I had intermittent problems. The problem is they will probably keep your car for a length of time. They had my CT for 3 weeks. Maybe a couple days more...anyway, after I got my car back, it hasn't happened since. So what did they do?
1. replace traction control module
2. vacuum coolant drain and fill and brake bleeding
3. replace ABS module and ESC sensor and hydraulic control unit
They did these based on what was told to them and the pictures I showed them. (which wasn't much) but the tech knew I was in there before telling him of this recurring problem, which they could not duplicate.
I think the important part is to start a thread of complaints so it's on file. I was also fortunate because they gave me an X to drive during that whole time. I got my car back in middle of Dec. with 24000 miles and I have over 28000 miles now with no problems since.
Hope this helps.

Mine did the same thing and the service center said it was the ABS module.

I’ve had my brand new AWD for one week, 270 miles on it, and I’ve had this happen twice now. Once just this morning. Both times putting it in park, exiting and starting over again have fixed it. Really don’t want to have to go to the SC already….
