As we do in a couple times a year, we use the bed power outlets provide all the AC power for a band concert for our neighborhood.

They use 4 x 120v connections. The 2 in the bed and the 240v via a splitter to 120v connections.

I've used this setup about 6 times, 4 before for this band. No problems.

They just called and said the power was off. I know from before they aren't close to hitting a breaker.

I turned it back on with the app, and it flipped back off after about 15 seconds. Several times.

I noticed cabin air was being held at 100F, so I turned that off thinking it might matter.

I turned the outlets on a couple more times and they turn right back off.

Then, when I turned them on, I got this warning "Set Power Outlets on or off failed. Failed to update outlets."

The band is now plugged into two different houses for power.

Anybody have any insight on this?

You should check the alerts in Service Mode.

If I'm not mistaken, the AC power is provided by the PCS... 😱

I’ll check it after I get it back in the morning. I haven’t been following the PCS issues. I though that had to do with powering your house, which I don’t do.

The PCS has the DCAC modules which handle AC charges well as AC output (Powershare and outlets). It also does DCDC for the truck's 48V system.
The 14-50 and 120 outlets share a phase, if they put 40A on one leg, that would cause them to shut off, even if total load was under 9600W. It also does GFCI which could trip and shut off power.

Oh wait a second. I had my outlets fail a few months back. Does that mean my PCS was replaced?! Does that mean I had the dreaded PCS failure and didnt even realize it?

I just picked up my truck from my neighbors and there was an alert on the screen saying AC charging unavailable, try DC charging. Went into service tab and replacing the PCS2 was already there to be scheduled. Feels like they both go at the same time.

As I'm sure you've already seen the responses... it's almost certainly a PCS issue, so confirm that in the service mode if you already have not gotten the dreaded On Screen PCS2_a094 and PCS2_a095 (PowerShare unavailable) messages

Yes. I didn't even need to go to service mode. It was right there on the screen and already in the service tab to be scheduled. Said PCS2 replacement.

Unfortunately it appears the replacement PCS will be roughly about a month -- at least that's what my service center is saying. The only consolidation is that you will get free supercharging.

Yeah, I'll be anxious to see that schedule.
Plan on a couple months, hope you have a supercharger next door to your house.
Tesla is WAY behind on this issue and it is snowballing.

Nearest is only 150kw, 250kw isn't terrific sadly. Might be eating out more often by the 150kw one. It's prime season for my other car, so there's that.
