I have not seen that offered. They gave me a Model S with free supercharging. Maybe I will ask them when I pick up the vehicle if I can get some free supercharging miles, especially since my rate at home $0.34 (Pacific Gas & Electric) is higher than some superchargers in California. I was in Elk Grove, CA at the Supercharger rate was $0.24. I have seen some chargers as low as $0.12 in places like Reno, NV.Being able to see the realtime location of a Tesla (in most cases) helps to ease the curiosity and wait times at least. No other vehicle reports this type of data.
I didn't see this mentioned in the thread, but are they offering any kind of "oops, sorry about the huge hassle" compensation?
Free superchargers miles? Anything?
So when the supercharger rate is lower than your at home rate it changes the charging strategy when on trips. It is supposed to be the other way around but with PG&E’s major rate hike for EV’s it flips things on its head.
