1) Electric
2) Highway capable (Spouse wants only one car in our set)
3) Supercharger network (Spouse demands fast charging)
4) Under 50k (Spouse says I can't have a car cost more than 1/3 our mortgage)
5) Design

It fits all my design parameters plus that wow factor of the glass cabin (which has been possible since the 80s) and the functionality of a truck (which I need in my next vehicle).

1. Finally found an EV I want.
THAT'S
2. Reasonably priced, should hold resale value really well, so low TCO.
3. Stainless Steel (3mm thick at that)!
4. Super utilitarian vehicle, with the steel vault cover almost like a van.
5. Doesn't look like a van, or a funky EV, it looks BADASS.

That's why I pre-ordered a single motor Cybertruck. Should I do 5 reasons why I upgraded to a Dual motor?

1. retirement vehicle: body, glass and drive train will last 20-30 years.
2. retirement vehicle: Home solar PV will provide charging so no paying for fuel on fixed income.
3. retirement vehicle: FSD will drive my wife and us after our driving skills diminish.
4. likely easy to get in and out of truck.
5. big enough for hauling stuff, and locking up groceries in vault plus hauling grandkids and guests for road trips.

1. The Cybertruck, with proper care, will probably outlive me. I will never have to buy another vehicle.
2. Constant software updates from Tesla will keep my Cybertruck current and never make it seem like Tesla is leaving me behind or that I need to upgrade to a new model.
3. The Cybertruck is very wide and the exoskeleton should reduce the interior width that is taken away. I can't wait to see how roomy it is inside for me and my friends. Huge bonus if I can lay down on the backseat.
4. More utility and performance than any other truck I would be interested in buying, without buying a heavy duty model.
5. It's electric, so lower maintenance cost and I'll be able to benefit from Tesla's vast supercharger network that is constantly growing.

Bonus:

6. Bulletproof
7. armor glass
8. it's badass
9. bioweapon defense mode
10. Probably the best vehicle to camp in that isn't an RV or a camper.

What’s your top five? There are many for me but I will list my top 5 reasons in order:

#1: 3mm thick stainless steel exterior (with no paint to maintain!)
#2: Futuristic styling (The design is absolutely brilliant)
#3: All electric drivetrain with Single/Dual/Tri motor option
#4: It’s a full size pickup with 4 real doors
#5: Sports car performance with pickup truck utility

I too have many reasons why I pre ordered the CT. As I recall the reasons in order were as follows:
1. The fantastic performance, 0 to 60 mph in less 2.9 seconds!

2. The expected range to exceed 500 miles on a single charge. I have said all along with new battery tech. in the works, I am expecting the range to increase to between 600 and 700 miles.

3. I loved the structural materials being used! The stainless body with the expected bulletproof glass tops it off!

4. I am up in years, so the FSD feature will be great for my Wife and I in the years to come. I am expecting this will be the last vehicle I will ever purchase for myself.

5. Last but not least I love the idea of the adjustable air suspension. I currently own and drive a 2001 Ford F-150 super crew. It still looks like new, with the exception of a few expression marks!

I planned on keeping, and driving the F-150 till I couldn’t drive any more. When I drove my Son’s model-X I decided to look for a Tesla. I stumbled on the Cyber Truck reveal. I researched the truck, and fell in love with it. The above five reasons are only but the first reasons. There are many more!

While this of course would be awesome, the stainless body was said to stop a 9mm not the glass. That being said the glass will be stronger than anything that I have driven which is a huge plus.

I have read so many posts and even articles on other websites that think the glass is also bulletproof, but you are right, that was never mentioned. It's unfortunate that the glass demo failed to show us the actual durability of the glass, even if the glass still didn't break, we don't know the actual durability.

I'm hoping that as soon as Cybertruck is released, someone replaces their windows to properly test it. Or maybe Elon will have a better demonstration in the future.
