I think you are in a right pickle. "Happy" about the looks is one of the hardest things to persuade someone.I don’t write here often but am a lifetime “car guy.” I am avid follower here as well as a reservation holder. We have 2-Y Performance models and love them. Had a reservation for Rivian’s R1S and when contacted to proceed, my wife dug in and said to cancel because she did not care for its appearance. Just like all of us here, I have been waiting for the CT to be our’s. Now I’m not trying to be a downer here, but I’m concerned she will be unhappy with the most recent photos showing the frunk area of the CT (see picture below).
Please offer any thoughts on persuasion should it be needed.

Go at it from another angle. The CT is safe and efficient because of it's front design, because it allows lots of room for compression in a collision, if you are ever in one seeing it has all the FSD safety options enabled by default. This means less g-forces on impact, and the stubby nose and angles means it creates an air bubble in front of the vehicle to separate the airflow making it more aerodynamic, and therefore goes further with less batteries. Go on to explain how aerodynamics is the main consumer of energy on a EV, so improving that means you get a longer range vehicle for less money. The savings of which you can buy her some diamonds. Problem solved.
