No way to determine proximity of objects front or rear. Cameras really don’t provide distance from objects.
bumped my garage door last night when backing into my driveway
Fortunately No damage to either CT or door just a lot of concern
Am I missing something on the settings ?

I hate that you can’t keep the horn you set, replace it, put it in park, and it disabled it. I at least want to drive around my neighborhood and honk at the kids with the fart.
I just tested this and you are correct. It defaults back despite "saving" horn sound. A bug ?

Not a bug, it’s always been like this, with all Teslas.

The toy box only works while parked. Once you start driving it goes back to the regular horn. Probably due to government regulations. Think about it, if you set it to fart and you need your horn to prevent an accident and instead all you could do is fart, there’s going to be some pissed off people and I imagine liability would fall on Tesla.

I wish there were setting to change the horn and hope this new one rolls out to all CTs.

For anyone with the new horn, do you have an option to change it back to the old one?

This seems to only be available on the latest produced cyber trucks

Update from Cybertruck chief engineer Wes Morrill:

The "new horn" is using the external speakers to make that noise. I can't recall the exact version when it was enabled but I believe all Cybertrucks have the hardware.

Original post:

It appears from this post that Tesla has launched a new horn on Cybertruck. It's deeper-throated and almost sounds like a goose.

Have a listen:

Designed to sound like an air horn. Awesome!

Are you saying that it is only set for the one drive, and not stored with your profile?
Correct Teslas have always been this way, it’s only while you are in park, as soon as you drive it goes back to default Horn.

What version software? I’ve got a Cybertruck AWD serial number 7499, 2024.32.5.4, and I don’t see it in the Toybox… unless the sound has got a name I don’t recognize. What is the name and version?

I like it and wish I had the option to select it but it doesn't appear on my pull down list in toy box.

Me too. I do have “La Cuckaracha” and others that do work. (You also have to enable the “Replace Horn” switch.) But I don’t see a new horn sound option in the list yet.

Wes indicated he thought all Cybertrucks had hardware compatable with the new horn sound, so hopefully it can come in a future software update.

They haven't. Before the NHTSA got involved, we could set our horns to whatever we wanted and drive around farting at people. It's sad that they forced Tesla to change it :(

No settings yet. It’ll probably just take time for you to learn on your own.. I’ve learned . . But I have over 16k miles on the Odo.
