I bet it’s not installation. It could be air pressure, these things are designed to keep the wind out, air pressure could be pushing them in at high speeds. Do you do a lot of highway driving?
No mostly around town except for drive back to Roanoke from Raleigh delivery.

You’re in Roanoke? I have a place in Lewisburg, WV. Is Raleigh the closest Tesla Service center to Roanoke?

I don't see it, so maybe I can get Tesla too figure out why 4 out of 6 spokes would wear after 575 miles. I don't understand what caused this.
Low tire pressure.

The correct tire pressure (when not towing) is 50 psi (stone cold). That means first thing in the morning, before the sun hits it, before you have driven it.

When towing the correct tire pressure is 65 psi. Again, stone cold. It will rise above the correct temperature as the day warms up and/or if you drive it. That's normal.

An under-inflated tire bulges out more, even if you can't see it visually.

Tire pressure was 47 on two tires, 48 on two others before adding air to bring it up to 50 on all tires. The wear was present on right front tire. The others seem to be ok, so it may be that some of the covers are defective. I have done no launches or even put it in beast mode and have done around town driving and one trip to a cabin I have on a forest service road. Tire pressures have never been low on any tires.
I’m more concerned that you haven’t let the “Beast” out… why in the world not? lol

If 47 lbs is enough to cause it to rub, it's not designed correctly

That is where they had me take delivery. No choice on my part. The closest service to Roanoke is now at a nice newly opened center in Greensboro Highpoint NC. Had my model S that I purchased 11 years ago (hard to believe how fast time flies) down there for service.

I checked pressures early morning ? and don't do towing. I presume towing would add weight to rear wheels. The rubbing occured on the right front wheel. The 4 wear spots were tabs next to each other.

How are the roads where you are? Do you often go on bumpy roads or roads with pot holes or small speed bumps? The tabs on my cover sit pretty high up away from the tires; seems at least 1/2" or a lil bit more.

The only way I can imagine the tires still rubbing with the right tire pressure is if there are sudden high compression events where it forces the bottom of the tire out to tap the cover.

Roads are good. I did one trip 8 miles at very slow speed on forest service road that has some pot holes that I am pretty good at missing most of the time. Since no one else seems to be seeing this as well on their trucks, I am thinking it may be that Tesla just didn't install that front cover correctly.

What vehicle at this price point wears HUB CAPS anyway? Tesla should have never designed these in the first place, but rather had released a better looking factory wheel.

The absolute BEST mod (besides wrapping it) is to replace the garbage wheels. Let's just all call this a fail on Tesla, the wheels and hubcaps look terrible anyway, toss them in the trash.

I wonder if you put that one that rubbed side-by-side with one of the other ones and compared it, if it would be different somehow. Like is there any chance they gave you one of the original wheel covers and three new-style ones? Would that be super obvious? (I've never seen new OR old covers in person!)

I have shit taste because I don't like the stock wheels and hubcaps that literally no one I've ever met likes?

The one comment I get ALL the time is how much better my truck looks then the regular stock ones especially because of the wheels. I can't tell you how many times I hear that, how people hate the stock look but love mine.

But you do you, im sure you have impeccible taste and probably have some badass Crocs that match the hubcaps on your vehicles ?
