I'm glad that my post from a few weeks ago saying a new wiper is coming didn't end up being a fake rumor. I'll need to get my wiper changed now, thanks for confirming availability.

Worst thing about the current wiper is when there's dirty snow covered windows, the washer fluid only cleans the window in streaks. So it's like alternating bars of clean windshield and can't see out at all windshield. I hope this is better in the new design, it's a big problem now.
That’s how mine cleaned in dirty snow as well. I’ll test it out tomorrow!

Mentioned to service that FSD was dry wiping often, causing scratches on the windshield. I got a new wiper blade and wiper motor (not sure why). They also said I’d be getting a new wiper arm, but it isn’t listed on the service summary. My advisor confirmed the wiper blade is an updated design.

FSD still wipes dry as soon as it’s activated, but I can definitely tell it’s much smoother and made no nails on chalkboard noise anymore.
My VIN is 496xx

Will be interested to hear how it works for you in the snow / salt.

Mine is a 52xxx VIN, just took delivery 3.5 weeks ago, and I notice the bad fluid coverage / cleaning behavior like the other person posted. It just cleans small lines where the fluid squirts out from.

I wonder if mine has the old wiper blade design…most likely it does.

It’s possible you do. Mine is a high 49k vin, took delivery 5.5 weeks ago

I have a service appointment next week to fix an interior trim piece that was nicked before I took delivery. I’m going to mention the wiper to service to see what they say.

I have the same issue. Random dry wiping . Also struggle to keep the window clean so use excessive spraying all the time .. the spray seems a little weak getting onto the window and most sprays off the left . The worst area for cleaning is passenger side high right ..

My question is whether the new arm/blade wipe the windshield any better. Between streaks and using a LOT of washer fluid to clean the windshield the version I currently have is by far the most problematic feature for me on my Cybertruck. Second would be the useless rearview mirror but at least sometimes (when it isn't dirty) we have a rearview view.
i just got my arm, blade, and motor replaced and camera cleaned by tesla. can confirm that wiper fluid now jizzes much nicer and more than before, and even when dry wiping, it doesn't squeak like it used to.

Passenger side high right: yep! That’s the spot that’s the worst

I have a VIN under 2000 and also received a new wiper motor, arm and blade when I did all of the recalls last month. For the first 2 weeks I experience the phantom wipe during the first few mins of my drive, but after the FSD 13.2.2. update it seems to have gotten better with a phantom wipe here or there. The new wiper has a separate top section (although it's still one piece) as show in the OG's post.

This is what I'd like to know as well...what exactly are the differences?
I assume it’s a softer compound wiper blade.

Gotcha.

I think they should consider squirting more wiper fluid volume and change the holes in the wiper to spray it to cover more surface area

Others said the spray is better, which is also probably part of the new design. I haven’t tried it in the conditions it struggled in yet.
