Took my CT to finally get the wiper assembly and sails finished up, service tech tells me there is another upcoming recall on the wiper itself apparently.. Obviously part not available yet.. But this is the first time I'm hearing about this, but then again the wiper is streaking and the actual nozzles arent strong enough in my opinion so that would be a welcome change..

Actually listed on my repair list, just wont be completed until they have the wiper..

I hadn’t heard the wiper motor was available, but did have the sail pillars replaced a few weeks ago. I’ll hold off on the motor for mine if another one for the wiper is expected.

I will reschedule my recall service appointment also if further information regarding this situation indicates a substantial problem.

I’m suspecting Tesla didn’t save as much money by using a single wiper as they thought they would, considering the recalls.

In July, 2024 I had my wiper motor changed (mine was dead at delivery in May). The SC also changed the wiper arm with a revised part #. This was pre-recall letter.

In August, 2024 my SC changed the wiper motor again (post-recall letter) and didn’t change the wiper arm.

Maybe third time will be the charm, haha!!

On my CT all of these recall things work just fine so I will just wait until they figure more things out to reduce the number of SC trips. VIN in low 2700s.

Same here, all recall parts works fine but Tesla still scheduled the visit to replace them. I am hesitated but I am also worry if sail appliqués flew away caused third party injury, Tesla would say we gave you the warning and opportunity, then won’t claim responsible.

I had mt beast in for the recall. Mind you, I did not have any issues with either the wiper, or motor, or sails being loose, or flying off.
When completed, the sails are still secure, but now the wiper moves at will, on its own. I wish I had not brought it in for the recall.
Hopefully it will be fixed correctly on the next service. I did receive a message in June, that I’m on the list for the light bar and new wheel cover installation. VIN- low 80xx, May 9 delivery.

By wiper moves at will do you mean the full swing or just the small jerk motion it does every now and then for no apparent reason?

Just the small jerk 1”-2”, leaving a gap between it and the B Pillar. So annoying, as it is right in my line of sight.

My second wiper motor replacement does that, too.

I had a thread about “why is there such little water and my wiper is basically going across a dry window” so I def think the nozzle thing is a issue

Wow! Almost exactly like my story. On that first replacement of arm they broke a hose clip and this what i saw left of my windshield view.

It was fixed second time, but I just noticed one of the top of this one is broken.

when i mentioned the constant streak in my LoS the advisor told me that "engineering is working on a solution, it's a design defect."
