Has anyone heard what might be coming next? As with all vehicles, there is always a style/mechanical change on the horizon.
I am luving my CT. I own a Delorean and an Amphicar, among others, and the CT is still my favourite. Nothing else like it.
Personally, I'm hoping for more power and maybe push a button and the roof disappears---Like my Mercedes did.
Thoughts on what anyone else would like to see on the next model?

It took them 5 years to refresh the Y, and that’s the world’s best selling car. I highly doubt we see a CT refresh before 2030 or so.

Even then, it will likely be a fairly small one. I doubt they go through the headache of redesigning SS body panels and making those fit together again, so the body will remain the same. We might get new bumpers, new wheels, and some slight interior tweaks, but that’ll be about it.

I absolutely love my Cybertruck. That said, if they made a small pickup that looked a lot like every other small truck out there, put some of the under the hood Cybertruck innovation in there, it would very likely be a huge success.

early reservation holder (still intact) love everything about the Cybertruck except the size. Lars, don't make it look like any other pick up, please-just smaller.

I'm guessing it won't be a passenger truck, but an autonomous small cargo platform. Of which, could stand to literally make billions of dollars almost over night. Think Cybertruck platform, but delete everything to do with passengers or drivers).

(hint: long term, we will see autonomous cargo vehicles exclusively travel city to city via the boring tunnels)

Interesting thoughts. I keep different things in my garage. If it was just a smaller version, or looked like other trucks out there, I wouldn't buy it. Just have to wait I guess.

There's no planned refresh for the CT. As others have said, it would likely be 2030 before that occurs. There could be minor things added and taken away. Tesla does this often...sometimes to improve the vehicle and other times to improve margins (taking away speakers, removing options like lumbar support, etc.)

edit: I would guess anything that would change would be to make it cheaper. I can't see them adding luxuries to a vehicle that isn't selling 7k in a quarter.

Hoping that the next refresh can at least get to the 400mi range mark, but my guess is battery tech will need to advance to that level as the consensus on different forums is that Tesla doesn't want to add battery volume.

A smaller Cybertruck would have more global sales potential than the existing full-sized version. The Cybertruck is currently offered only in the North American market, which accounts for around 40% of Tesla's global sales volume. The Cybertruck will probably never be offered in China or Europe, which are the other big markets for Tesla vehicles, because there is little interest in full-sized pickups in those areas.

Tesla has announced that the Cybertruck will be exported to the Middle East, and it could maybe sell in Australia/New Zealand as well. However, these are much smaller markets than China or Europe.

Smaller pickups, like the Toyota Hilux, do sell globally. So in theory, it could make sense for Tesla to develop a smaller version of the Cybertruck. However, it would be risky in the current economic climate. The only Cybertruck production facilities are in the US, and China and Europe have been applying steep tariffs on US-made vehicles. Sales of the Model S and Model X, which are also produced only in the US, have fallen sharply overseas for that reason.

I would think a CyberSUV would be the next step.....same platform and utilize the back for 3rd row and luggage.

I read that EU and UK just signed “0” tariff on imports from US? (Not sure if it includes autos).
