Generally this isn't going to work in an online argument because you can't actually prove your posts match any particular person elsewhere - even if the accounts match, it could just be someone taking false valor, as it were.

Not that I disagree with your rather straight forward points in this conversation, just explaining why this line of evidence isn't going to help you with angry man on the internet.

Well, that's not the point though. Of course none of this is to be taken beyond bored guys "shooting shit" online on a Sunday night over a beer. Still, if a person speaks from the position of authority, I want to know where that authority comes from. If they say it comes from X, but Y is needed, I am going to call it out.

Good thing my training was for nuclear weapons facilities on U.S. soil then. ?
Again, irrelevant. You may as well say you trained CBP on use of force in the areas where the Fourth Amendment doesn't apply. The question was what is your legal expertise on general use of force as it applies to civilians (both citizens and cops). You already said you don't have the qualifications when it comes to the Fourth Amendment (OIS) cases. Got anything behind the belt when it comes to citizen self-defense ?

Mixed metaphors are TIGHT!

But, I think you might be barking up the wrong molehill this time!

Note: At this point, I pretty much say “rocket surgery” exclusively and have for the better part of a decade.
I think they are called malaphors and they never dont make me smile

I don't care how good you are at weapons manipulation and tactics. You may very well be great at it. The topic was the use of force on US soil, where none of the Rambo stuff is relevant.
Good thing my training was for nuclear weapons facilities on U.S. soil then. ?

We had an incident on a particular base where a civilian cop destructively blew through a physical barrier during convoy ops, and when we debriefed the rear echelon gunners and asking why they didn't shoot, they said they were half a second from doing so, but something just didn't feel right.

Turns out the driver of the police cruiser had a medical emergency and was in and out of consciousness.

Part of our debrief was to reassure the Marines that they would have been 100% justified in shooting, had they chose to, and to not dwell too hard on "what if's". Tough job for sure.

I mean, you can but I'll still discuss the subject if you want to. My area of expertise encompasses title 10, U.S. Code as well as the 2nd Amendment. The lack of testifying as an expert witness in federal cases of self defense doesn't somehow nullify my knowledgebase ?.

I'm sure we agree on much of the subject. I just often comment on stuff like this because people have a tendency to read into both sides of the extreme, and the real truth is almost always between the two. The way the OP described the incident, some people understood it to be a very real potential for a life threatening situation (because of descriptions like: "pure rage", "Losing his mind", " real red faced anger", "Came at me with fists balled and violent intentions") ... meanwhile others may have perceived it as a nothingburger.

Great discussion on the topic though. Sounds like CT owners need to brush up on de-escalation skills because the general public is quite literally going insane.

But that doesn't explain the constant blasting of his horn... ?
I though honking was the CT Universal Greeting. I always honk when I pass by another CT. Have I been doing it wrong? ?

Well, I know the other local owners around here. Our standard greeting is the middle finger, followed by mutual knowing laughter. YMMV though... ?

The internet is making everyone insane.
It's not the internet, and people aren't insane.

The CT is a statement that musk purposely made. And everything he's doing now is tied to it.

I knew by the terminology that you chose in this post that there was something up here! This analysis is a bit too crisp to have come from somebody that didn’t have a little bit more experience than your average bear. ?

I see you!

I actually have no formal legal training, or related professional experience. Just hung out (trained) with the wrong crowd (cops, DAs, etc).
