No loaner car for Cybertruck recall service

I went to the Tesla service at Seattle today for the two recalls of the wiper motor and LH/RH sail appliques . And I was told they don’t provide the loaner car if the work can be finished in a few hours, and they said either I wait there for three hours or I go on my own. And no transportation they can provide. This is the first service that I deal with Tesla, and i feel a little disappointed. Is it normal?

Normal (and usual for most car companies, even Benz when they run out).

That's pretty standard. Usually loaners are only available for a service that will be at least overnight to multiple days.

I'm sure some people have had exceptions, but that's what it normally is.

Kind of normal for Mercedes as well but it doesn't depend on the time but the service scale. No loaner car for Service A but most likely one for service B.

This is typical with my experience with Volvo, Ford, and Mercedes. It seems like a reasonable policy. ?‍

When I had my recent wiper motor/applique recall done, I was at the SC for about 1 hr 15min total. Easy-peasy.

Standard. Sodo location is a solid performer, there is a high probability it will be done by the time they gave you.

I went in to get some scratches buffed that were noticed at delivery, and they fixed the wiper plastic panel while I was there. Gave me 100 credits as it was going to be a few hours. That seemed plenty fair. The rep should have given you the same.

Same thing at Toyota and every other dealer for a minor service. To expect a loaner for a two hour procedure is ridiculous

My experience with every car I’ve owned has been like that. If it’s same day couple hours repair usually no loaner is provided.

I had my Benz sent in for maintenance B and my dealership didn’t give me a loaner but offered to shuttle within 20mile radius ??‍. It took over 4 hours to finish plus had to change brake pads

So far that is the normal for me with every vehicle I have owned besides Audi. Audi has always had a car for me even if my service is only an hr.

Depends on the dealer. Every time in beaverton OR i had the loaner but in bellevue WA i only got the shuttle which i really don't mind.
