I just got solar and powerwall installed. My installers said they don't even have guidance on how to wire the communication between powerwall and the wall charger yet and that they will come back out to run that wire when they get instructions.
I don't think any wiring there is needed.

I have requested a refund from Tesla a shot in the dark anyone in the same boat should do the same maybe they will wake up. Tell Musk to concentrate on Tesla get out of Politics
No. He's doing a LOT of great things right now. The slow rollout actually has more to do with us not paying enough attention in politics than it does technical ability.

Do you have any idea how insanely hard it is to get anything done to grid-tied services? There are many thousands of different entities that all have their hands in the cookie jar.

I have absolutely no political bias against him. As a matter of fact, I appreciate everything he is doing to our federal government. Sure, every company needs to prioritize. Tesla could afford to pay a team of a few engineers to handle this low hanging fruit, even if it was priority #69.
It's definitely not low hanging fruit though lol. There are many thousands of different electrical districts across this nation, and every single one of them are unique, and most of them are run by absolute dinosaurs.

The energy sector is extremely hard to work with for outsiders.

There isn't a magic button Tesla can push to get approval from entrenched grid level companies and co-ops. The engineering and software has probably been complete for quite some time; what they need is a certain percentage of successful deployments before wide release.

I am in the same boat. But having said that I get why it has been deprioritized. I have Powerwall. So even if this software update was there would I need it / have I needed it yet ? No. So yeah grumble grumble but I think there is bigger fish to fry. Like autonomy.
Autonomy may be a big deal for Elon but for those of us that don’t have power walls, and suffer from frequent power outages, power sharing is much more important.

When you pay $99,000.00 for a Truck you would expect to get what you paid for. There are no excuses. The Truck was intruded in 2019 when I reserved mine. Are you telling me after 5 years they haven't figured out how to connect a Tesla Cybertruck to Tesla energy system. When I bought my 2016 S it could not have gone smother and still have. I have owned X Plaid and S performance. My issue is how they have had a lack of detail preparation on the introduction of the Cybertruck.

I have already answered your question above about grid tied systems. What other ways can I attempt to explain it to you?

Your answer is just another excuse. You don't sell something advertise it and don't deliver on it.

They didn't advertise Powershare in 2019.

Even when integrated with Powerwall or solar, Powershare is not grid tied.
Regardless, coordinating multiple generators is not trivial, especially when they are not stable (solar), the total power level is small, and there aren't inertial loads to smooth things out (large rotary generators and motors).

I just got solar and powerwall installed. My installers said they don't even have guidance on how to wire the communication between powerwall and the wall charger yet and that they will come back out to run that wire when they get instructions. Maybe it will just work with wifi after an update but Im not sure. I had them connect my powerwall with Ethernet instead of wifi to be sure it stays connected. Currently though the wall connector is using wifi.

They also said that anyone that gets solar and a powerwall and a cybertruck is having to choose between powershare from the truck or using the powerwall. Absolutely no way to combine them yet.
The universal charger needs a communication wire to the power share equipment.
