Anyone know what this noise could be? It comes on intermittently during driving and right when I get out. Seems to be inside the bed, right above the box where the outlets are located.

I thought the tonneau cover had something to do with it, but it does not appear to be affected opening and closing the cover.

Can't get a service appointment until October. Atlanta area.

It sounds a little like a compressor. Or is that a background sound? It’s hard to know which sound is coming from the truck and what is background. Regardless, none of them seem like a normal thing to be coming from the bed of your truck.

The last part sounds like a motorcycle.

The compressor for the air suspension is under the bed floor, but I’ve never heard mine running. I would be concerned that it is near failure. It might be prudent to disable “Easy Entry” until it is serviced.

It's that first sound buzzing, and it goes off. Yes the last sound is background.

Well it sounds like a little compressor to me, and the fact that it’s intermittent sorta makes an argument for an air leak somewhere. I will be interested to hear what you discover about this. Thanks for sharing.

UPDATE: I just spoke with service center and they were kind enough to troubleshoot over the phone. It's amazing what they can pull up - he went into my alerts via truck VIN and saw that my suspension was changing a LOT by geolocation in the town where I drive. He laughed and said, "it's like, a lot of alerts."

He said it's most likely that air compressor filling back up with air, and it makes sense because on the highways and other locations, I don't really hear it.

He advised me to drive on the home screen for a couple days (as opposed to nav) in my town and watch the auto suspension change and hit "forget location" as much as possible so that it changes less, and see if the buzzing stops.

He said that the system automatically detects what other Teslas experience in your area - road grade, potholes, etc., and determines whether to auto raise or lower the suspension based on AI. That kinda blew my mind.

Hopefully the issue resolves. I will update.

The compressor tank make be trying to maintain. If it's constantly running and/or you're getting a message of the compressor overheating (bc of constantly running), you may have a leak somewhere. Otherwise, if you actuated your height a few times it may just be the compressor pump kicking on to refill and pressurize the cylinder.

Sounds like the air tank filling up.
