As an immigrant from a 3rd world country that visits that country pretty often, most Americans have no clue how good we have it here..

as a former military member and former employee of the DoD you’re absolutely right. I’ve visited so many countries. We have it good here in the United States. I love my country, but we can always make it better and we should always strive to.

Makes me truly wonder, the hate was so extreme during those times it was bewildering. It was insanity at it's upmost, people with infuriated with a mere sight of the truck. But it all started to rapidly, reddit hate groups were forming, news stories, Youtube, etc.. People were compelled to do the craziest things, as if the vehicle itself was giving them the finger.

Ultimately, was a great teaching lesson for my kids during that time..

That is very true. But in terms of regular people, their opinions were fully changed and were shaped by social media whether they realize it or not.

That crap only works on weak-willed imbeciles. The good news is it makes them easier to spot and avoid interaction with.

It's kind of sad to see Japan the way it is going. It's aging rapidly and is in population decline. They have the highest debt to GDP (2X the US). And seems to be on losing their tech luster to China. China is the future now.

It's kind of sad to see Japan the way it is going.

I kind of get what your saying, because not that long ago, Japan seemed like it was living in the future when they were birthing some of the best consumer tech on the planet. It felt ironic to see Japanese tech company men being blown away by the Cybertruck (driven by a lowly Field Service Engineer) in a random parking lot in a US suburb. And this was before FSD for Cybertruck was released in 2024.
