yes ALL early TESLA BETA TESTERS with the truck should be awarded credits to use on products or on charging imo... there have been too many instances with pricing flucuations , falsely stated features, broken down features on the car that cannot seem to be repaired, and were all product testers. we paid for early release yes, but we should still be compensated. we are providing free user testing for tesla. i've seen reduced or adjusted prices on all kinds of things that first time customers have missed out on,

I won't say that, but we do tons of testing. Beta testing is an all up all in test. Tesla put on thousands of miles. Did they not use the wheel covers? Why not? How did they not notice the wear? Long before testing, I'm surprised they didn't discover it during modeling analysis. We used FMEA, Monte Carlo, and FEA dynamic modeling. I don't expect that FMEA and Monte Carlo would have necessarily uncovered this, but FEA would have. Now I'm wondering if they let the tire manufacturer do the FEA modeling on the tire without integrating the wheel covers into the FEA model. Systems integration was my job and I uncovered many problems in that. Found a major problem caused by two different software systems interacting. It was a 0.5 mm error, but it caused the machine to fail specs until I discovered it.

This is HIGHLY likely what happened. More trucks on the road = more success. Regardless of little defects here and there.

I picked my car up on 6/21 and the sales manager told me they would be delivered and his understanding is that they'll start going out soon.

I think the moral of the story is that sales managers don't know anything and that you should take what they say with a grain of salt.

I picked up my new Cybertruck on Tuesday the 18th. The Sales Manager told me that he had received an email that day from the higher ups saying that the wheel covers are not coming back. Thought I'd pass on the word and see if anybody else had heard the same.

By the way, first time poster, but long time reader. This place was a wealth of knowledge for me prior to order/pickup. Thanks!!

The configurator now states cyber wheels and 25" wheel covers. The core wheels and all season tires have been removed.
