I use mine daily on my Model S. I pull it into the garage, so the frunk is always closest to the kitchen door, and I also cannot open up my trunk when the garage door is closed. So the front trunk is used heavily.

On the S, I use the frunk anytime I pick up food to keep the smell out of the cabin. I always back into a spot when I go out, so If I run to the grocery store and just need to pick up a few things I will also just throw those in the frunk. If the frunk were bigger, I would definitely use it more.

Oh, no. The frunk is only cooler when comparing it to the cabin with the A/C off. I generally don't leave the A/C on when I'm not around. So I'm comparing tempertures of the non-conditioned cabin with the frunk, after they have both been sitting in the hot sun. The frunk always wins.
There are three levels of cabin heat control. I just noticed you are in WA; very different from AZ. There's actively cooling it for humans, active cooling to hold something like 115 degrees (I think, around that), and passive fan moving outside air when it's hot. I have the latter enabled. The cabin still never hits 120 in summer, the frunk is well above that. My aluminum-bodied laptop was too hot to hold after a couple hours in there. Also, I keep it in a beautiful leather man-purse and that got beat up sliding around, no good.

Stating the obvious (a speciality of mine), storage space in a vehicle is necessary "when you need it". When we roadtrip the Model Y which is every 2 months or so, the frunk is where we put a large soft sided, insulated ice chest for food and any perishables. There is a bit more room to put dry goods there as well. Being as it's Tesla's top selling vehicle I'm surprised that no one has created a custom aftermarket MY frunk ice chest. Seems like it would be a very good seller.

The Model Y has an amazing amount of storage space for a car it's size. I think the CyberTruck will be the ultimate in secure carrying capacity and the frunk will be very useful.

What do people with a regular F150 do, put their luggage in the engine airbox?

With my last truck I had a topper so I threw everything in there. Could probs do the same with the vault. Just slides around a lot

Interestingly, I wonder how a drain would work in boat mode. :D
Ah, one of my childhood tasks! Dad would give the cabin cruiser enough speed and I would pull the drain plug. Bilge water and fumes, great memories on the great south bay.
At least I got to pilot the boat for a few minutes.

I carry all of my emergency stuff in the frunk. Compressor, lifting pucks, first aid, extra wiper fluid, a squeegee/sponge for the windshield, etc. I do not like closing the un-powered frunk so I only open it when these items are needed (a lot on road trips).
ditto... also a tire repair kit because there isn't a spare.
Here in AZ I carry extra bottled water but the lifting pucks emit a nasty rubber smell that seemed to permeate the water so the frunk water is not suitable for the dogs or my wife...just me.
