Powering House with NEMA 14-50 - Data Logging?

I use a NEMA 14-50 from my generator today, but would like to use my (hopefully arriving soon) CT.

Does anyone know if Tessie or similar logs the power usage or anything like that? I'm obviously a data nerd and would love to know how much power things in my house use. I used to have a Sense thingy, but it died years ago.

My generator runs all the things I need just fine, but the truck will be a lot quieter and cheaper for shorter outages. Tessie should log the battery level over time, and from that I can calc some level of draw, but didn't know if there was an API into the outlets.

I think you can see power usage on the screen under outlets and mods, and in the energy app on the car. Dont think there is native power draw tracking otherwise within the mobile app like there is with powershare. Not sure if this is the case with power share with mobile charger either.

Tessie will track an “idle”. Not sure exactly what data you are looking for, a live watt meter is on the screen while outlets are on

I started with Sense for my house about three years ago, and what they did is pretty amazing in terms of mapping usage patterns to appliances and things that draw power in general. It takes at least a month (back then) to accurately map devices to power curves and ramps, etc.

However, I took a chance and tried Emporia with a 16-sensor unit on my main panel, then added two more for my two subpanels in my house, and have never looked back. In terms of accuracy, both Sense and Emporia are identical. Emporia lets you meter any individual circuit in the panel (up to 16), plus whatever mains you have coming in. Any circuits you don't monitor get mapped to "Other", so the aggregate draw is the same as the mains. They also express all metrics in 7 different ways, i.e., Watts, Amps, Currency, C02, Trees, etc. I only use Amps, Watts, and Currency really.

One more thing: Emporia allows you to stack or sub-meter if you have multiple panels, so you can "roll up" the results or view them totally separately. They also support solar input and net metering.

Attached is a live screenshot of my dashboard. Installation is easy if you know a few basics about power; otherwise, call someone who does know how to install it/them.

I've used it to run my house a few times and it does show the power being used from the 14-50 outlet.

I have a solar setup with 32 kWh batteries, 16 kw of inverters with grid and generator inputs.
I just connect the truck to the generator input when needed.

The 11 kw available from the truck is enough to run things if we're careful.
We try to run the water heater only day when the sun is shining etc.

Living in Florida, hurricane territory, it's nice to have another 100 kWh or so of power available, especially over night.
If there's a hurricane coming I'll always make sure I keep the truck charged.
Hopefully we have some sunny days so I can get things charge back up during the day.

I figure normal 80% charge, then hook it up, and run the house at least 4-5 hours and see where we land percentage wise, then extrapolate.

We have the 14-50 Power Watchdog for our RV. It has Bluetooth/ WiFi data on each phase and total energy.
Be aware the truck pulls 800+ W on its own with outlets on.
