Could anyone let me know what they see under their home, settings then WiFi?

Mine shows up as Powerwall and wall connector. Tesla is saying that the installer set it up as a powerwall and not Gateway.

I have the option to enable PowerShare in the truck but nothing happens (says communicating in the truck settings and chargers flashed blue) when I shut the outside disconnect. Under my home info I do see a gateway with no version.

What does everyone else have?

Call Powerwall support (877.961.7652 option 2) and see if they can help you switch it over to Powershare or call your installer back to fix it. They have to use the Tesla One app to commission it properly.

You've got me wondering too. I have not had a successful test yet but here is what mine looks like. The network under both settings is my home network.

I did that over the weekend and they could not do it. They had to escalate to tier 2, recommended that the installer comes out to recommission the system but even that is not a for sure fix.

Interesting, do you have the feature under your truck settings?

I did get the option to show up in the app and in the truck 2 days after the installation. However, I did a failover test and it.....ahem....failed.

The electrician thinks it's a physical setup issue (System is sensing an outage but it's on the load side of the gateway and not the line side so it's not letting it back feed.). But I'm going to show him these settings when he returns and will see what he says. He's done several of these already so he should know.

I also did a failover test and the wall connector started flashing blue light and the truck was saying “communicating”. The truck knew it was home and connected with PowerShare but nothing happened.

My installer seems to think it’s a setting on Tesla and nothing on their side. On hold again with Tesla now to see what is going on.

Do you have a screen shot of how it appears on the app after the update?
Discover PowerShare will be visible on the CyberTruck section of the app…

Here are my WiFi settings for my Powershare. After the installer successfully commissioned the PS GW we had to connect the Wall Connector to my WiFi router. It was having issues connecting (we tried 10 times) because the Wall Connector only supports WPA2 secured 2.4 GHz, 802.11 infrastructure mode networks.

I had to enable a separate WPA2 2.4 GHz only 802.11 IoT Network in my Wireless settings so it would connect. After I did that the WC was able to connect.

But now I notice that the Wall Connector does not list my network SID I created. I see that the WC is listed in my connected devices in my router and I can ping the IP address.

I have not tried a manual lost of grid power test so I'm not sure it works yet.

I do see the Powershare option in my CT Console>Charging screen and in my app Controls screen.

Interesting. So that confirms for me that it does say "Powerwall" instead of "Powershare" in the wifi settings even though I don't have Powerwall.

Thank you for sharing that.

Mine also says Powerwall on that WiFi page, but everything worked fine (the truck powered the house) once powershare was enabled for me

The issue with mine is that Tesla is saying that they cannot see the gateway and the WiFi settings as powerwall is the issue. I would assume that if the gateway is connected Tesla should be able to ping it.

Also I see no power flow in the app and the house is grayed out, meaning the system is not communicating.

I am not sure if this is to new and Tesla support is still figuring things out or if this an installer issue.

I'm curious if you got any answers on this. You should definitely see the network under the wall connector so I'm wondering if it's because you had to use your 2.4 ghz channel vs 5.0. That shouldn't matter but I did not have to play games with which channel I was using. But my eero network is able to resolve those things with all the smart devices around the house. If there was a problem with the communication line running from the gateway to the wall connector, I would thing support would spot that right away.

I just did a Powershare test (by turning off the main breaker in the PS box) and my CT started supplying power to my home after a few seconds. It took 5 minutes to start supply grid power after I turned the main breaker on in the PS box.

Glad this thread is available - my installer and I spent 45 minutes trying to figure out why we weren't seeing an option for Powershare in either the truck itself or in the Tesla app, and this explained it. Sure would be nice if Tesla would update their instructions and installer videos to not call for testing things before the electrician leaves the house since you'll never be able to do that!
