Though looking at it, I have to wonder how you would open it. It would sure be a little bit irritating having to open the Tesla app each time. Maybe one of those buttons along the vault rail.

The hinge is inside the door opening from the top like they showed at the reveal. Probably no latch like you see on gas cover doors. And it senses your key to unlock. Then you push in to release the latch. It's very hard to see the bottom of the sail door, which "should" be where the angle is.

Edit, here's a frame grab that shows the bottom of the sail storage door. It takes a HD video to see it.

Yeah, I've been working on making a stow under the back floor for my chainsaw and camera tripod. But I can't seem to find enough of the right closed-cell foam that wouldn't grow mildew...

I know Central Alberta isn't close for you, but this may give you an idea (and might be handy for someone who is in or going through Alberta:

This screen grab is the old version with the door handles... the new version seems to be solid all the way across...

I made a custom-fit layout for a carrying case by lining it with a trash bag, and then filling the bag with insulating spray-foam. I placed my desired objects on top of the bag until the foam hardened, and voilĂ .

I spent entirely too much money on the Stihl chainsaw case and a blade guard.

It was pricey, but both my cars have cargo areas open to the front and it keeps the smell of gasoline contained well.

Yeah. I've done that before. I've done expanded styrofoam, too. But this needs to be structural and dense and I can't dip the car in a steam bath.

More storage the better, but I won't lose sleep if they drop this. Ram Box is great on Ram, but is way less necessary on CT with so many other secure storage options including the covered bed.
