We'd expect a low take rate for the higher price point,

They're clearly skipping people without location data, or location data outside the original search (they haven't reaches out to anyone who doesn't have a US reservation, for instance, that one in Canada has a US reservation).

Which would mess with the numbers a bit.

That's probably what they're doing.

I can only hope they come back to me when they have that price they teased me with originally.

I haven't seen anything yet, not that I can afford it at the current price point.

Incorrect. I was selected with no data in my profile.

"Limited Edition" = Limited to as many suckers are willing to pay an extra 20K and give up any hope of receiving an additional $7,500 subsidy.
Guess what? The Cybertruck is no longer on the list.

How does it work when you pass? I am about 120K down the list and am really hoping my number doesn't come up until ~2025 - after they have had time to work out more kinks and, possibly, lower the price. If I am invited tomorrow and I pass, does that put me at the bottom of the list? I do want one, but I don't want the issues that come with early production. As I type this, I am starting to think the question is probably futile since everyone is just guessing on how it even works for the initial invite...

Good question....... I'm a little further down the list than you, at about 200K, and I'll be happy to see some objective reviews first. Unfortunately I also need more time to convince the wife, because she's not sold on the looks yet. She told me (hopefully jokingly) that if I bought one, I'd have to move out because she's not letting me "park that thing in our driveway". Hopefully she sees some on the road before my number comes up and she changes her mind......

No one knows tbh. I'm passing and basically just ignoring it and hoping my invite doesn't go away lol. During model 3 times you had a button to wait for your config.

But I did speak with like 3 reps (I know I know) and they said no worries you won't lose your spot.

Tell here "Deal"

After all, didn't she just give you permission to build a new garage for it?

Today's TFLEV (The Fast Lane EV) gave some insight into the likely "take rate" of foundation series. Their reservation was 49,499 in line, and they just received an invitation to order one of the 1000 Foundation Series CyberTrucks. Since they are in the Denver area, it appears that invites are issuing outside of the Texas and California areas. And the math of 1,000/50,000 is 2%. Assuming they didn't receive the last of the invites, the take rate could easily be less than 2%.

My reservation is about 110,000 in line (ordered the morning after the announcement) and I would certainly be among the 98% who are not taking up the invite. If the prices come back down closer to the original prices, I'll reconsider. But the combination of astronomical pricing and the "missing" features has me not terribly interested in getting one for myself in the near future.

It sure how you mathed, but I ordered with the presentation time and I am in the 165,000 range based on the spreadsheet floating around.
I think like many, no one has a clue other than Tesla and those they communicate with.

The price does include FSD. But there are no cars with FSD yet. There is the FSD beta and it may be a little delayed getting to the truck, just as it was a little delayed getting to the Model Y without USS.

There is NO ONE suggesting that you pay the $20k. Tesla is just giving some people who were waiting up, the opportunity to get a special one. I've got some special stuff because my wife stood in line for 4 hours to order the Model 3 when orders first were opened.
