no sure if my information is correct,
however, the light bars now come with the Plug attached as the ones prior to March 2025 came with the 3 wires and the added wiring kit that was left on the customers seat along with install instructions
There was no wiring kit left on my seat, only three heat shrink pieces inside a ziplock bag, no instructions.

1. Can you please link to the full conversation.

2. As an initial point not every beast that they made in 2024 was a FS/CB.

And that version of the self-install procedure was version two. Number one thing you’re fully on your own to figure it out it’s glued to your windshield and the wires are up there go get them tiger!

Non-foundation cyberbeasts started being produced in Q4 of 24. So not every cyberbeast in the number that you have was a foundation series cyberbeast— that is my point.

It wasn’t a massive number but it was not zero. Therefore, just extrapolating the percentage of the number that you’re using to calculate how many FS Cyberbeasts there are cannot return the right figure.

GIGO. Can you please just stop reposting the image and post the link to the entire thread that you’re referencing?

Yes, I understand that and what I would like for you to do if you’re able is to simply post the link to the thread because this is not in context. if you cannot it’s fine, but I’m not going to search for it. And your chart, which has insufficient labels requires context.

Whether there are 4000 or 7000 FS/CBs is a trivial matter.

Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

  • 1061177-00-C - Kit, Wire Harness Repair from the manual, ask your service center for this

As I stated, that’s a change in connection strategy which just means they’re adding a connector to the end of the light bars, it’s not a different light bar.
While the light part of the assembly is the same...
There is a version of light bar with bare wires long enough to get to the pre-installed roof access point.
There is a version of light bar with long harness which includes grommet and connector and replaces the stock roof jumper.
That is two distinct versions of the light bar.

Just like a USB A to micro is different than USB A to mini even though its just a different connector. Or a 3m vs 1m cable.

But here is Tesla's view:
Current instructions:
Tesla Cybertruck Tesla Lightbar delivery & install experience SmartSelect_20250815_160804_Firefox

Which is V3

I'd call that a "variant," like literally your example having a product with a USB-C/USB-A connection option or US versus EU plug at the end, but I'm not going to quibble about it. At best it's a minor "revision." I appreciate the distinction though and thank you for pointing it out.

I can dig that, but is it still a variant if they discontinue the previous incarnation?
(I also do not have a horse in this race 😀)
