Yes, of course these are renders. I never thought otherwise. Everything is a render now days. You will also notice no new footprints in the sand around the tailgate in all of the different photos. Looking at homes for sale can also be a trip, especially when they include both the with and without furniture "photos".

To my eyes, these look like very obvious hinges. And the bottom of the sail pillar triangle is pretty obviously a seam where I wouldn't expect one if there were no storage. In the origami style folding of the outer shell, there wouldn't be multiple panels here if both were stationary.

I thought those things you have highlighted were pop-outs that would open up to allow you to easily attach a roof rack.

Shoot. Well, I could very well be wrong, eh? Maybe they are attachment points. I still hold out hope for sail pillar storage, tho.

Totally renders. That's why the OP title has "Images" :)

i thought it looked like hinges too, but this seems to show them on the inside, or at least in different spots than where those tabs are

The interior looks kinda small. The size looks comparable to a Toyota Tacoma instead of a F150.
anyone notice the rear window is square vs. angular on the other photos? and I think this is a new pic!

Finally, something I can sink my teeth into... even if just a morsel.

It would be odd if Tesla designed the sail storage with a mechanism that left hinges visible on the outside like a Land Rover, wouldn’t it?

It would also be strange if they left out the sail storage in the production version as it gives the silhouette of the car a functional reason apart from aerodynamics and people wouldn’t complain as much about bed access from the side with that extra storage in place.

I don’t know whether it was MotorTrend or what, but it was pointed out early on in pictures that there would be mounting points for roof racks (of course on such a vehicle). And that doesn’t leave many other holes (in the render at least) apart from the vault control buttons.

No sir. Check the known exterior dimensions of the CT vs the Tacoma. CT is longer and as wide as a Tundra crew cab. CT is a very close size comp to a 2021 Chevrolet Suburban, if it’s only Tacoma sized inside it would be the world’s most massive automotive fail. It’s far more likely the sloped roof/fact that it’s a render are messing with your perception on it.

"The rear seats are also very comfortable as we can in Tom’s video, there is a fair amount of leg and knee room for the rear seat passengers, one of the roomiest cabins in its class, or the Cybertruck is in a league of its own? Let the time be the judge."
