If you decide to purchase the kit, here are step-by-step instructions:
Here is my summary and recommendation regarding this door sealing kit:
- If you want an overall quieter cabin, this kit might not be for you. Here are the before install and after install decibel readings taken at 70mph and read at the center of the cabin:
- YUP!! Same same! The cabin is still just as loud. HOWEVER, the noise is reduced through the doors (e.g., the vehicles passing you are not as loud). But, most of the noise in the Cybertruck is from the front of the vehicle and the humming of the front engine. This kit obviously does not reduce that noise.
- Recommendation: If you want an overall reduction of noise in the cabin, this kit will not help. If you want a reduction in noise to the left and right of your vehicle, this kit will help.
