Add me to the list. Noticed for the first time this evening that my charging was reduced to 24 Amps and service menu had PCS2 alerts. Put service request in but it was after hours. I’ll escalate tomorrow to see if I can get it in the next day or two.
Same. So luckily i was able to charge but at a slower rate. Tesla SC took care of it but took some time for the part to come in. CT loaner for a few days and over weekend. Growing pains but still love it!

You can still SUPERCHARGE, just not AC-DC charge, like at home!
No, that's what the screen says. I couldn't charge at Supercharger after my PCS failure. The screen is wrong.

Also, my tonneau cover bounces back 6 inches when I close it from the screen or the app, or by pressing once on the exterior button near the tailgate. The only way to close my tonneau is to use the exterior button and hold it down all the way until it's closed. I say this because I noticed this failure after my PCS replacement. So, please check your tonneau operation before you leave Tesla SC.

This is very good to know! Tesla service did not notify me of this. I could have made it to the service center knowing that. I had tried 3 different chargers I had to make sure it was the cybertruck.

Oh, huh. There must be multiple components that fail then. Because I couldn't charge at all at L1 or L2 level but someone else could trickle charge. You couldn't charge at a Super Charger but he could.
Mine did show 4 components replaced.
[/EDIT]

The PCS in my foundation series cyber beast went out Thursday. They had me bring it in on Friday and gave me a loaner. On my way to pick it up right now. Hopefully this is the last issue I’m going to have with my truck, I still love this thing. The only annoying thing is the service center is three hours from where I live, thankfully supercharging still works when the PCS fails!

I went to my SC yesterday. No CT loaners. Just 1 Demo and it had a flat tire so my demo didn't happen. Only way to have that demo more than 30min is to schedule for end of day and bring it back in the morning. Probably location dependant but just like the snail pace CT production and no inventory anywhere, getting a CT loaner is probably going to be a challenge
Not in San Diego, our service center has like 7 or 8 of them

Supercharging doesn’t work in all PCS2 failure cases. Mine wouldn’t supercharge or L2 charge…& the service center confirmed all charging was down. He said each PCS2 failure case is different

The HV pack does not need to be removed, but it must be completely disconnected, including the coolant. And the PCS is accessed from the top, so the tonneau, bed floor, and air suspension must all be removed.

https://service.tesla.com/docs/Cybe...UID-8F133FA6-44FC-4D62-9BD3-03C92951B916.html

When I take vehicles in for service, I remove everything. Everything. It can't be lost, broken or misappropriated if you leave it at home.
The PCS R/R procedure should be slightly labor intensive on the DM coil over suspension Cybertrucks since no air tank/hoses are in the way.

Mine failed about a month ago and set an appt which is for today. It worked briefly to AC charge once. I had about 30% left and went to a SC to charge and that WOULDNT WORK. So I dropped the truck off a day early to keep from bricking the battery, They accepted it a day early.

So double check that you can DC (supercharge) before waiting.
File with NHTSA… please everyone file these when they happen state that this can be a safety issue if you end up stranded in the middle of nowhere or in extreme weather conditions. It’s crazy this isn’t a recall yet. This is the first time I want a recall!!

Well, good luck. I went throug it. I have to say, I've never owned an EV and the Cyberbeast Foundation Series (so you are aware I went all out) is my first electric vehicle. I embraced every comment about Tesla how good they are etc, but it seem like the typical Tesla owner is a little bit bias when come to a logical rational opinion. What I went with the CT from the get go, I think it is a shit show. They are not talking about the fake range and the fucked up rule that you only should charge to 80%, that is never talked about, is like "of course this is how it is!". I drive an average of 140+ miles daily. If I leave the house with 80% I MUST stop by to charge the truck, so to go out I need to charge it and to come back i need to charge it, that makes it 2 times a day I need to charge the truck, here in California is around $35 per charge, so daily it cost me $70 to drive the CT. My other IC cars I drive for 3 days straight the same distance without the need to refuel it, and the price is almost tha same. For the time being, my next car is going to be internal combustion, 20 + year old, totally restored and mechanical, minimal to 0 computer in it.

I guess I was lucky. Mine went to reduces charging . My 50 amp charger would only go to 32 amps and my 32 amp charger would only go to 20. so the 2 week wait was ok.

Some times we have dumb luck in life. I guess I never would have expected any car in my life to drive 350k and never leave me on the side of the road ever. Yet I got that in a Tesla.

You can charge to 90% or even a 100%. Sounds like you drive a lot. So as long as you don't let the truck sit at 100% forever it is a fine option. I just looked. I have 718 charges of 95% or higher, and hundreds at 100%. Might save you some time from charging on the road, and bring the cost down.

Same situation as you, never owned an EV before. Jumped in with the cyberbeast, lots of lessons learned, lots of things to fix.

I think the perspective is the issue.
* Foundation basically equals Beta Tester.
* A 7k lbs truck was never going to get the kind of mileage a car would. 300miles just like car MPG is a best case scenario.
* The cyberbeast is more like a high end sports car and range isn't one of the primary features.

As far as all the problems go, Tesla hasn't really been proactive (frustrating) but they have taken care of the problems. A few people on here have the right to complain about Tesla due to true lemons and their lack of response.

I can agree with you 280 miles is a stretch for the cyberbeast even at 100% charge. Honestly though, you should be able to go 3/4 of the trip and charge back to 40% then let it finish at home overnight.

We are in the same page, I might sound like I'm complaining and being mean, but I think what caught me off guard is all the hype, I agree with all you said, I do treat the truck more as a performance vehicle now, after last month PCS failure and had to pay out of pocked because I put over 53k miles in less than 2 years, I put the brakes on the usage of the truck. I am dissapointed because the truck was advertised as tough and ready to work etc etc etc, I am only putting miles and it sucks. But I do really like my truck. Make sense? To my friends I always tell them the ugly part first, so when they buy one they are more satisfied. My experience was the opposite, a lot of hype, happy people opinoin, and then the reality hit me like a train. That's all.
