Since I did my first rotation at 6,000 miles myself, I decided to find a place to do the 12,000 mile one. I scheduled an appointment at MAVIS for free! Since the online form didn't ask any vehicle questions, so I figured they had PLENTY of experience with everything. Since there are only 6 CTs in our area, there was a strong possibility that I would be the first.
So, I showed up for my appointment and the front desk guy did a lot of looking through his computer, scratched his head, then went to the back where his manager apparently was. He came out and said, "We can't do it because it's too new."
I said, "This might be a good opportunity for you to learn, since I did the first one myself." Manager said NO.
Since I was going to SAM's anyway, I tried them. They also had never done one, but were game to try! So, with my direction, 30 minutes later rotation was complete!
Rotation and balance $17.00 total!
Of course I had to show them all the CT features....
If you get turned down by your local tire shop, just tell them that Sam's in Shreveport, LA can do it!~

Or you can just go to discount tire and they do it for free. It’s not difficult just have to put the truck in jack mode to prevent the air suspension from trying to level the tuck

I did mine myself for the first time last weekend. I assumed that Jack mode would keep the suspension from dropping in addition to turning off the leveling but that was not the case. While my jack stands had plenty of height, my floor jack came up short and I had to stack some 2x4 blocks on it to lift it high enough. Those tires are heavy but I got it done ?.

Please, please don't do this again. Many people each year die from getting crushed by lifting vehicles in an unsafe manner.

I'm a big fan of paying Tesla to come to me to rotate the tires. Very convenient for only $69 or $79 bucks, I don't remember which. While the tech was there, he also cleaned the front camera and fixed a sticky seatbelt retractor. Gave me a choice of performing the work at my house or my office. He jacked up at one point on each side, and the frame was so stiff that the single point lifted the whole side. I do have the equipment to do it myself, but my back is not what it used to be. :)

Did he just switch front/rear? He is supposed to cross cross for non-directional tires. This would require a minimum of 2 points of contact as one of the front and one of the opposite back needs to be elevated.

And a whole bunch of CT owners said, "AMEN"!

I just had Discount Tire do it for me. Total cost: $0. It was free.
Discount Tire sounds like a nice place. We have a couple of good independents in our small town, with whom I'm friendly, but since I'm the only CT in the county and social media is what it is, I'm reluctant to start a feud. :)

The truck is going to Discount Tire tomorrow for its second tire rotation.
We used jack mode last time but the owners manual doesn’t mention using that mode for tire rotation.

Do I need to engage jack mode for tire rotation?
