Is the advertised price we put a deposit on the true price of the vehicle, or “price after estimated savings”?
Example: Model Y:
Price after Est. Savings$45,690
Purchase Price$49,990
Excluding taxes and fees...

Notice the purchase price is thousands higher.
Tesla’s price is always without incentives since not everyone can qualify for them.

Just re watched Model 3 unveil, you are right. The lowest price was announced is $35000!
GREAT NEWS!!!!
It should be actual purchasing price!
Okay, let see how much would I have to take out from pocket for my 3 motor:
$69,900 Cybertruck
$7,000 FSD
$1,200 Destination & Doc fee (this number is taken from website, checked on Model 3 and X)
$7,810 (Est. tax for CA)
so total $85,910
Plus for ATV :)
90k is what is the real price is going to be with no Loan fee
That is how I have been calculating it. Need the stock to go higher, especially if I want the camper.

PS. If I take a car loan -it is no more than 36 month. for 72 month it is robbery!
PSS. Still did not get how you linked up Loan term with gas savings. Do you sell your car immediately after your loan is payed off? Or you still keep it for a while?
I'm comfortable with 72 month because I can get a low rate and it's all a write off as a business expense anyway.

It's a comparative analysis of the money I'd save in day to day operations, it will be a lot less than if I keep driving my diesel truck. I was only operating within the loan terms, so if you really want to extrapolate it out to say ten years it's be an operational savings of about $35000 at 100 miles a working day.

Crazy thing is that my work truck is already paid for, but the cost of gas per month to operate it is more than the loan on a CT would be every month.

Diesel is averaging $3.25 a gallon in CA right now.

Exactly. So for comparison to my work truck:

For my current truck:
$3.25/Gal
17mpg
= $0.19 per mile
0.19 * 500 miles * 50 work weeks * 6 Years= $28,500 in fuel costs

Model X (used as comparison)
~39 kW / 100 miles of range
$0.15/kW (in CA)
((39 * 0.15)/100) = ~$0.0585 per mile
0.06 * 500 * 50 * 6 = $9000 in electricity

That gives us a delta of $19500 comparatively for fuel alone as a back of the envelope calculation. This doesn't even factor in oil changes and such, which for my diesel truck can run upwards of 2k a year and brakes are about $1000 a year. So if you really want to be generous with my case you could say the cybertruck will potentially save me $37,500 over the course of the loan term of 6 years compared to my F350 super duty.

All of this is purely speculative, of course, since we don't have actual CT numbers to compare, but still, looks amazing for a business vehicle prospect.

That "after savings" is a bs way of pricing a car.
Would it make you happier if it was more spelled out as "compared to comparable ICE vehicle"?

I feel like that's the implication already.

I don’t. There’s a lot of people out there that have zero concept of the savings that go along with driving a EV so while the upfront cost is a little higher the operating costs outweigh that IMO. I would rather have it this way than all the other sneaky ways that traditional dealers screw you over. Even in these days.....“we know that you need a new vehicle so we will let you skip payments for 90 days or we will take ___ off the price of the vehicle“. Since we are talking trucks here...when a manufacturer can take $11k off the price of a new truck then you start to realize just how much money that they are making anyway on each vehicle. I am fine with seeing the estimated gas savings but don’t rely on it solely to consider a purchase. But hey, that’s just me.

If I’m not mistaken price after savings is with the tax credit and other such things taken into account. I’m guessing most people won’t get the tax rebate so it will be purchase price.
That's not the case in Australia.My price didn't have.any.tax.savings.69K

I may be wrong, but I thought Elon said it was purchase price during the unveiling.
Elon stated during the CT reveal "That's the price without any incentives"

I just went and re watched it.

I budgeted $2k for the solar vault cover option. If it is less, awesome, if it is more, it will not be worth it to me.
