This wasn't the reason I ordered anyways. The lower price was so I will just put the subscription. I'm sure others will be mad though.

Here's the latest on FSD transfer - per @sawyermerritt just posted within the last hour.

UPDATE: Last night, Tesla changed its FSD transfer policy (pic on left). You now have to take delivery by March 31, 2026 to be eligible.
For people who placed an order before this policy change, including Cybertruck dual-motor AWD order holders:
• If your delivery window is on or before March 31, 2026, or it gets pushed into April due to a delay caused by Tesla, the company will still honor FSD transfer.
• Tesla will NOT honor FSD transfer if the initial delivery window was after March 31, 2026 when the order was placed.
• If your order window is beyond March 31, 2026 or you end up not being able to take delivery by March 31, 2026, Tesla will offer you a refund of your $250 order fee.
Before, Tesla's website said: "customers who place an order for a new Tesla vehicle by March 31, 2026 may qualify for transferring FSD (Supervised)." Not anymore.
While Tesla always said directly on their FSD transfer website page that the "FSD transfer program is subject to change or end at any time," I’d still like to see Tesla give all $60k Cybertruck AWD orders made before last night’s policy change the option for FSD transfer at time of delivery. Many people placed an order because they thought they would be able to transfer FSD.
I’ve deleted the post I made a couple days ago (pic on right) about Cybertruck AWD FSD transfers to avoid anyone seeing that post, but not this update, and mistakenly placing an order. While I did link to the terms page in the thread, I should have added in my first post Tesla’s exact disclaimer wording from the FSD transfer page: “The FSD (Supervised) Transfer Program is subject to change or end at any time."
I’m really bummed out for the people who already ordered the $60k Cybertruck and wanted to transfer FSD, even though Tesla is offering order fee refunds. Keep in mind, Tesla can always decide to change the terms on this stuff at any time.
People can reach out to any Tesla sales advisor with any questions. They will confirm this info.

Such BS imo.

I don't think majority of people who bought the dual motor were transferring FSD anyways, but rather the more affordable price that all were waiting for.

Purchase of FSD was very low.

yeah I would agree with that. How many people even use FSD? It's a lot lower than the amount of people that would be happy getting a 59k Cybertruck.

There's alot of whining about not being able to transfer FSD, well, you got the trim for $10K less than what the official price is now ($70K), that buys 100 months of FSD @ $100/month, or 8 years, 4 months. Sounds like not a bad deal.

Compare that to what I bought, the full AWD model at $80K, and bought FSD outright for $7K, so I am in for $87K, unlimted months of FSD, but of course have the other "features" (Air Suspension, interior outlets, smuglers bay, etc). I don't think its worth $17K more that I paid. If I did it now, I would have bought the $60K model, and paid monthly for FSD.. this wasn't an option in August of 2025, however.

and yes, I know you already bought FSD once, well that's life, sometimes you pay for the same thing more than once (ask any married guys) :)

It’s going to cost Tesla more to retrofit HW3 vehicles that it would have been to just allow FSD transfer.
They have a version of FSD that runs on HW3, there won't be any retrofitting.
(yes, it is supposed to have the same capability)

Some of us ordered other cars and trucks based on the terms. Sure they change. Not the just the cheap ones. Unless one wants scraps of inventory cars one is not likely to be able to take delivery by month end. Even on a new cyber beast.

Hey I have 4 Teslas now. Could have been 5.
Will take delivery of the cheap truck in my sales tax free state. Then who knows what I will do with it. Hard problem to have.

When someone says they are in for something. They must be poor or pissed at the decisions they made. Good luck.

I'm very happy with my decision, given the same conditions again (Dead 2013 Model S & $7,500 Federal EV tax credit was ending in 45 days), I would make the same decsion.

My old Model S only had 1 camera, FSD wasn't even a thought when it was made, it was one of the first 4,000 cars tesla made, and had numerous issues.. still I stuck with it for 12 years, until it started throwing HV battery codes at 138,000 miles. Then it was time for a new timex :) FSD is very good, and I use it for %99 of my driving. I also keep my cars until theres nothing left to drive, so I will extract all of the value from it. The Federal EV tax credit helps of course, since it is deducted at time of purchase (assigned to Tesla), so that amount wasn't financed.

I also ordered the new "Dual Motor AWD" Cybertruck and Tesla confirmed that my full FSD will transfer to it when delivered. They said the old and new Tesla have to be registered to the same email account.
Killer deal!!

Dude those comments were in 2024. LOL.
Yes they were. The take rate on FSD in the past wasn't huge, so if they have to replace the HW3 with HW4, I'm sure they will, but they are doing everything possible to avoid that, including letting the fleet "age out" (which is the same thing insurance companies do to not spend $250K on heart transplants for 80 year olds)

Also, Elons new compensation package requires 10 million active FSD subscriptions within 10 years, given that, you can see why they are trying to skate out of the FSD transfer.
