So here is a good one and maybe Tesla engineers need to think about those of us who don't live in California weather.

How well will the roll up cover work when covered in snow or ice?

What are your thoughts?
Snow and ice can cause extra work on any vehicle. I have a Backflip tonneau cover on my F-150 and it can freeze solid to the bed when the weather turns from wet to freezing. Generally I pound on it with my gloved fist and it will pop open. I suspect the same will be true for the vault cover although I think in many "frozen shut" scenarios the torque of the motor might be enough to break it free so pounding on it can be reserved only for the times the motor cannot break it free.

I am thinking a nice topper (canopy) might be nice for winter.

I'll keep it closed in winter..... just to be safe.

I deliver mail in a snow town. Whenever there is a bog drop further up the mountain I see trucks all over town with their bed completely full of snow.
Hauling around a bunch of useless water weight because they didn't have a cover.

Even a broken cover is preferable to that.
