There is a strap from the shelf accessory below the screen. I used a separate Velcro strap to loop into the accessory strap.
So it’s basically two straps set up like a möbius strip or two bracelets loped together. Very clever.

By now I take it pretty much everyone has seen my setup because I have posted it in a few threads but the fellow above (@Beetlebug62 ) has me wondering about moving it to the passenger side. It’s not at all in my way as is but that had not occurred to me.
I guess I assumed the pillar would be problematic.

I have ceramic tint on my windshield and it works. 150 megabytes down.
As someone who’s redone tint to make this work, I’ve done my homework on this. Nothing to do with ceramic it just has to be non-metallic.
I actually set it up at the tint shop and put different pieces on it to test it out.
OK, well that will teach me to use Grok AI and trust it without further research then. When I was trying to plan out the best Starlink solution I asked Grok if my tint would mess with the signal and it told me it would and I believed it. It made sense to me that it cuts out 95% of UV rays and Grock said that would also cut out the signal from the Sateliites. I guess it wasn't true then.

It doesn't matter now though. I got a good deal on a new Starlink HP Gen 2 from Ebay for $500 and I have it now, and it has that pole integrated with it, so I can't effectively put that on the dash now. I have a plan to mount it on my rack, behind the wind slipstream of my 10" tall RTT, and the extra pole length will stick below the rack a few inches, but above the tonneau cover.

I decided I wanted a high performance dish, instead of a mini, to maximize my chances for good signal even in the most remote areas. And maximize bandwidth in general.

Yeah. Grok told me the same thing at the time. And I cussed…a lot

I wonder about how you would power the dish. The mini has options to power from a usb-c or even off of 12v. Also I have used the mini from the front dash and now mounted to a rack and have never had issues with signal. The phased array plus all the new satellites. I wonder if the high performance dish wants to be oriented a certain way?

My mini setup:
Mini
Mount

Tesla Cybertruck Very simple quick Starlink mini mount 1764992690025-j2

Power
I’ll goto to the CTs 110v out at center console rear
But my SM included cable is 50 feet
What have others done for shorter cable or alternative power source?

A lot of people power these off usb-c or the frunk or roof feeds.
mine runs off the frunk feed.
Not quite what you were asking but I bought one of these for cable management off Etsy.
more than I wanted to pay but it’s very very nice. It’s sized such that the ac plug fits nice and snug in the middle. Also handy for just managing extraneous cable and throwing it under the seat though.

Ahh…fair point. Think I’m gonna stick with my current arrangement. It’s not ever really in the way.

I have multiple different Ecoflow Power Banks. A River 2 Pro, a Delta 2 Max, and a Delta Pro. I'll probably secure one in the vault or possibly in the cab, depending upon where I ultimately decide to locate the power supply and router for the Starlink system, plug the Starlink 110v AC plug into one of them, and then keep the power bank topped off with the 48V feed routed from the Frunk.

I have never had Starlink before. I just wanted to play it safe and get the most dish area and "High performance" that I could. Same reason I chose the CT Beast...just to get "the best" and not wish I had better later if I got something lesser. Plus the Starlink mini cost like $300 anyway, so I figured I'd pay only another $200 to get an HP version. The Mini may very well be a sufficient option, and with less hassle. I'm just winging it a bit to tell the truth...shooting from the hip. I just didn't want to be out somewhere in the boonies one day and wish I had better signal if only I had chosen the HP over the Mini. But it all may very well have not be necessary in the end.

I wonder if the high performance dish wants to be oriented a certain way?
Well, it will be level with respect to the Urander rack/the vehicle. It has phased array, like you said, to aim itself electronically toward the satellites. But it has a larger array to start with compared to the Mini, so it's supposed to get better signal and more bandwidth compared to the Mini. At least that is what my limited research tells me. Then again, my research told me not to mount a dish (Mini) under my windshield's ceramic tint too, but as @hemiarch mentioned, that reserach (Grok) was a fallacy:

As someone who’s redone tint to make this work, I’ve done my homework on this. Nothing to do with ceramic it just has to be non-metallic.

In any case, I'm commited to this HP Gen2 now since I already bought it... 🫤🤷🏽‍♂️

Are you able to use this configuration in your CT? What year is your CT?

I am trying a similar mount position about 8 inches aft of the windshield/roof divider...right behind the mini speaker up there. The Starlink Mini is new this week. I got a good connection when I powered it up for the first time. The Mini was sitting on top of the tonneau cover powered from the 110v outlet under the backseat display. It updated the firmware and rebooted. When I did a speed test with the dish outside, I got 172 Mbps down, 19 Mbps up with 34ms. However, when I put the mini just behind the windshield/roof divider I loose connection. The device is powered the entire time that I am moving it from outside to inside. Outside I get connection. Inside, I lose connection. My CT is a model 2026 that I just got in Nov.

Are any CT's getting it to work under the roof glass? Maybe they put metallic tint on the 2026.

The tint we have been talking about is aftermarket tint we got installed. I don't think Tesla would put metallic tint on it stock...but I don't know for sure... 🤷🏽‍♂️

I don’t know that either but I have been able to operate it through the roof glass in both my 2024 FS trucks.
that said, surprisingly, reception is significantly better for me in the windshield.
also, for some reason better for me at the back of the roof glass than the front.
