Why can’t CT have fold-flat rear seats like other pickups?

I mean I don’t expect a full blown midgate but at least a window that can roll down, or an access tunnel by folding down middle seat.
Watch this and imagine an open window or midgate

I'm sure not sure if you are on your own if the window is open and some 'thing' gets caught by the tonneau cover.

why can't other pick ups have 48v, ethernet, squacle & SbW? just chill or get what you like. All I want is a smaller/mid size Cybertruck.
The Cybertruck may have huge interior volume (including under the tonneau cover), but it drives like a much smaller vehicle. Much smaller. You really have to drive one to understand how easy it is to manuever in tight spaces. It makes my F-150, which is very similar in outside dimensions, seem like an albatross in comparison. Even though I've been comfortable driving full sized trucks for decades, now it just feels unwieldy and impractical.

If parking space in the garage is your concern, mine lives outside 24/7, just like my gas trucks always did.

Back to size, this is no joke, I always thought our Model 3's were nimble. Now, whenever I drive my wifes new Performance Model 3, the maneuverability feels sub-par relative to the Cybertruck. And that's unheard of for a truck this large to feel more nimble than a moderately sized sports sedan. I have to consciously work that steering wheel, and it's "work", something I never noticed before I experienced the magic that Steer-by-Wire and Four-Wheel-Steering has on manuvearability.

How long do you think it will take legacy auto to catch up?

Ooops! This is a thread about fold-flat rear seats. My F-150 has only a SuperCab (instead of a Crew Cab) even though the F-150's outside dimensions are 6" longer than my Cybertruck as well as more covered bed volume. And that Supercab has fold-up seats like the Cybertruck. But there is less than half the actual cargo area in the back of a Supercab -it's super cramped back there. The Cybertrucks rear seat area is expansive and has a lot more cargo area with the seats folded up. It can hold really large items like dog kennels, big-screen TV's, chair and stool sets, etc.

I'm glad the seats fold UP instead of DOWN. This gives you a broad and tall cargo area by leveraging all the space back there (instead of just the space above the folded seatbacks).

You know really it boils down to everyone wants what they don’t have ? I’m sure on a Chevy forum they are wishing they had something the CT has and wondering why the hell they didn’t add it. I guess you can’t have it all and different strokes for different folks but for sure this one seems as it would be a win across the board for every buyer
As a Sierra EV owner, can confirm. I prefer being able too lift the seats up and have a big, flat, open interior space like the F150's cabin versus the mid-gate.

From there, there's tons of trade off's depending on manufacturer. I wish I had CT's lack of doorhandles because it makes it harder to break into; unlike an F150 where you just need a flat head screw driver to pop the door handle. I wish I had CT sentry mode so that when I'm having to stay in a hotel in a sketchy area I can keep an eye on things. I prefer both CT and GM's smaller steering wheel's to Ford's gigantic one that practically sat on my lap. I prefer GM's tailgate step to CT's and Ford's. I prefer Lightning/CT acceleration to GM's... and on and on, lol.

I can testify that the rear seat comfort is severely comprised in these mid-gate GM trucks. They are small and stiff, but do the foldy thingy. But frankly, you'll never do the foldy thingy. I'd settle for a roll-down window like Toyota gets though.

That would have been my wish list answered is a Bumper step. Used it all the time on my duramax . Constantly forget or refuse to put my truck in low mode and I’m on and out of my bed 10 times a day
