As a fan of Tesla and early adopter of the Model X, I have asked myself multiple times why I subject myself over and over again with quality and service issues.

Regardless of being the first of its kind, issues regarding the foundation CTs continue to grow including,

1. Bricking due to charging issues/PCS/HV/harness
2. Bricking after car wash
3. Tonneau cover gap
4. Water damage to tonneau cover buttons
5. Overhead gear selector popping/dropping
6. Panels flying off
7. Windshield cracking/deformity
8. Windshield wiper motor not working
9. Rear doors not opening 90 degrees
10. Seatbelts installed incorrectly
11. Screen blacking out
...

On top of that, service is backed up, takes forever to get parts, repair itself takes days to weeks, and worse part of it all... poor communication...

I've already had my front windshield replaced, wiper motor replaced, gear selector fixed, and now find myself waiting on a side mirror replacement.

I repeatedly convince myself that it's okay and find myself justifying the situation. Like a bad/unhealthy relationship you keep on going back for more abuse. Not only am I complacent, I defend the behavior by saying,

"It's a Tesla.."
"Small price to pay as an early adopter..."
"I knew what I was getting into..."

It's sad, foolish and so egregious that it's comical. Never did I allow this with my other cars.

Yet I sit in the 100K+ car, being towed left and right, smiling and secretly hoping that it won't brick while my kids are riding in the back.

On a side note, anyone with a CT that is working without issues for more than month or two (with a couple of thousand miles+)?
Took delivery mid March, driven daily, accelerator pad firmly attached (but being riveted today) No problems; a delight to drive.

Luckily I've had mine 2+ months and 5500 miles with zero issues. You should contact a lawyer to get your money back under lemon law.

Wow! 5.5K!

Mine's overall fine also aside from a few issues that have been rectified/planned for upcoming service. I was just listing "relatively" frequently mentioned issues that have been reported across the forum (and X/twitter) that personally has created some anxiety.

I had 4, 7, and 10. Plus an awful creaking sound out of the center console and a death wobble from 74+ MPH (sometimes slower). And in the repair for 7 they broke a trim piece under the BAW and messed up the gasket/trim from the base of the windshield to the top of the frunk.
Not Tesla's fault, but a tint company busted my driver side window, so I had to get that replaced too.

I feel like if I go to counseling with my wife and start talking about this abusive relationship, she'll be blindsided until I say "Tesla", and then she'll laugh her face off.

Day 1 for me
- cameras won't calibrate because they're "off"
- tonneau cover malfunctions and wouldn't move (eventually worked)
- tonneau cover still glitches out and won't properly close (will get 2-4 inches form tailgate and stop)
- tonneau cover has an area by the button that is bulging up
- tonneau cover is miss aligned
- rubber trim piece sticks out 2 inches
- tailgate looks to be maybe misaligned

Overall really enjoy the car, but already have multiple service appointments scheduled to fix it. Go in this morning
I agree, overall its tech/experience has been phenomenal minus the relatively minor issues ive had compared to some.

I drive a lot. Mostly highway but some off roading and even hunting from it.

Good on you for "proving yourself" to the naysayer ultra-fans on this forum. I've been a Tesla fan for a very long time. It's because I'm such a big fan that I want this information available, in naive hopes that it's seen as feedback by some folks from Tesla that lurk these forums. I wish some things were done better, because I want the CT to succeed.

I don’t want to say it, 600 miles, absolutely no issues. Love the truck/sports car/Halo vehicle!

Appreciate it. I feel the same way and want the brand to do well especially since I'm invested in their success.

Hopefully I'm an outlier with regards to the quality of service (doubt it).

I guess I was being naive to think it would be a good idea to vocalize a concern as a tesla/CT owner on website for tesla/CT owners.

Since I'm the only one concerned I guess ill keep it to myself!
One might be.

Thanks much appreciated.

Things happen. Get past it or get rid of it. ?ing isn't aging well. Each post is like another case of it.

Or more like something I would expect out of a child that stuff isn't going in the direction they would like. Directions change. Maybe the attitude will change in time as well.

I'm not being forced to tolerate anything when it comes to service on my Teslas (four over the past 6 years).

please don't. this is valuable, including for Tesla. I don't think the person giving you grief even has a CT yet.
“Since I'm the only one concerned I guess I’ll keep it to myself!”
probably a good idea, especially when you revealed that your list largely was not issues you had personally experienced, but pulled from social media. Your post title should be pulled down as misleading and destructive.

the fact that you subsequently posted that you had not experienced most of the issues you listed showed your post is troll bait.

Posts like this get snapped up by social media/ legacy media and do harm.
