Can we please ban the word FUD from this forum? You guys sound like a bunch of paranoid schitzorphrenics!
I am going to have to pass on the banning of something so perfect. FUD sums up all those that post BS or half the story. Or sometimes none of the story.

Again. Check the recall list for Ford, GM, and Stelaintis in the last week. I think we are over a million. Who does one spend the money with expectation of perfection? Billionaire or not. Seriously show me the perfect truck.

Just whining to whine.

True that! At the same time the truck is incredibly expensive. I cannot help hearing my Dad's voice in my head saying, you are spending WHAT? And, if you are spending THAT, they'd better damn well treat you right. It's how I was raised, it was not about a bleeding edge technological kind of thing...times may have changed, but that voice inside my head has not.
Show me this truck that exists today that gives you all you want for a fair and comisurete price? God you sound like my father. Or are you just starting on the FUD train as well. As you feel for the people that are posting others problems like they are encountering all the problems on all the trucks they own. When actually only one or two items were a problem.

Cue Business Insider or Japolinik that will get picked up by Fox news. Bravo.

It took Tesla 7 years to make the Model 3 better but you expect them to do the same with CT in just 2 years? Or is that 2 years in Elon years?
I said 2+ years. So 2 years or more. But I think it will be closer to 2 years than 7 because the company is more mature which makes a difference during a ramp up.

Many who talk of the Cybertrucks price must have forgotten to look around at other priced trucks they would be caught in. No bargain basement XLT. King Ranch or Denali trim. Start looking, and one might just start to blend into the rest of the world of trucks and SUV's. Then look at price tag.

Funny thing is the gassers are starting to have to offer ridiculous cheap financing because they aren't selling.

This is a true FUD thread.
PXL_20220209_180015282.MP.webp

Please dispense of the cost aspect. If it is expensive to own or stretching, that is a personal problem. Nothing to do with the truck. If one stretches a wallet the truck should be perfect. Such a poor argument.

That's before incentives.
73,500 - 3750 -5000 (CO) = 64,750

100k vs 64,750

Or we could look at used

I admitted as much for myself earlier ?

Perhaps I am simply at an age where that doesn't seem like such a bad thing any longer. I sure struggled against it for ages. I take it you are still young, don't be surprised if one day you suddenly realize, I am not just "like" the Old Man, I AM him.

The important distinction is just that most posters are joining before they take delivery, not because they are dissatisfied with their truck.
But what about all the people who joined and didn't post?

One idiot said he was definitely youto cancel (and get his $100 “investment” back) if the truck didn’t come with solar panels. He didn’t grasp that solar panels wouldn’t do a damn thing to charge this truck but it was that important to him.
They'd power the battery thermal management, communications, and Sentry Mode. You only need 200W of panels for this kind of thing. Of course, the truck was never said to come with solar, it was a hope for a future option. We're not in the future with options yet.

You're tooling in FUD, and you're throwing insults. That's not cool, against someone who had misplaced hopes. They got their money back; doesn't hurt Tesla any. And voicing their disappointment might actually change things in the future.

FUD has become their favorite word to spew out anytime anyone says less than glowing praises of the brand. Its Alex Jones level...
Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt.

That's literally what this thread is about.

Just because there's an aspect of truth in it, doesn't change the theme of fear, uncertainty, doubt.

So we need to keep it managed with how relative they are - fear and uncertainty aren't bad things. They keep us sharp. But statistics have scales, and it's easy for it to be out of scale.

While ramping, those one in a thousand issues are the ones that crop up first. Sucks to be the person who has it - so we share out sympathy, point them to past solutions. Then there'll be the one in ten thousand issues. Then the one in hundred thousand issues and the one in a million... There's no way to know what all these are until you're producing millions of widgets (in this case, trucks).

That's why it's okay. Of a normal audience, only 1:10 will participate in forums. 1:100 or 1:10000 will be as noisy and talkative as me... But have a problem, and you're back to the 1:10, no longer a lurker.

And that's okay. We're here to assuage the fear, fil the gaps in the uncertainty, and quell the doubts as a community.

You call those perfect? ???

All these threads have something in common. A bunch of complaining about something we all know. Teething issues with Tesla is present. If not in belief. Then ones head is in sand.

So people come here because they are unsure. We get complaints about smudges and issues Tesla will take care of.

Please show me where they haven't.

If one can't handle don't buy. Be petty. Let someone else buy that truck. Move on. Find the perfect truck. Join that fan club and report back to us perfection. I am serious.

One had/has all the teething issues the Cybertruck has, and uses a Dyson for headlights.

One had a hold stop because they can't figure out batteries or why no one wants it. See my signature.

Incentives. What are those? Think in most states that is poverty level, or is starting to be with cost of living.

So far no issues except for dirty cybertruck at delivery. Really enjoying it. It is also powering part of my house tonight. Massive power outage in Huntsville AL due tornadoes.
Any issues in Huntsville with local superchargers? I am planning on driving my Cybertruck down to visit family soon HSV but I've never used the superchargers down there, so not sure how Tesla-friendly Huntsville is

Huntsville probably has more teslas than most places. Every time I drive I see many on the roads. This place is the best place to live. I didn’t figure out what you were asking about until I realize that you may thought Huntsville was some red neck city that hated Teslas. I am a Korean American lived here since 1976.

Nope, not perfect by any means. But this idea that because the cybertruck looks a little different justifies its price and imperfections, is fundamentally flawed when you can get comparable vehicles for significantly less $

The colorado incentive doesnt even have a cap. and the married $$ cap for federal incentive is like 300k.

Are you suggesting that a married couple making 299,990 cant afford a 79k vehicle?

take off your blinders.

just because you love a truck doesnt excuse all the issues and the misleading and the price gouging.

And just because someone points out those issues doesnt make them a troll

It's 100% normal for people to expect their truck to meet expectations.

and the cybertruck doesnt even meet Tesla's expectations right now. (ap,fsd, other missing features) i mean it just got offroad mode updates to make it closer to expectations

If we keep excusing tesla when they release unfinished products, soon you'll be driving a car with no interior but the promise to get seats in "two weeks".

and youll be telling people, but look, it's stainless steel so it's okay. and have you seen my rear wheels steer?

Lost me at price gouging. ✌

Here we go again. All the issues. ^ FUD in its finest. What issues have you had in your Cybertruck?

Edit add:

Married making $300k in many parts of this country for a family of four. No I would no suggest they buy an $80k truck.

You can excuse whomever you want. We don't have to do anything if we don't have problems.

There's no lynch mob here. Stop trying to create a mob mentality about problems that are isolated.

Many here must not have been around for the model 3 but it is often mentioned. So if you press that submit button and you order it and you're disappointed and you've been here for 4 years, I don't think you really have anything to complain about.

Are you just sticking your fingers in your ears and singing lalala. You know they had to recall every truck and stop sales right? So literally every truck before deliveries started back up has had at least one issue. i think it was 4000?

We have a thread full of people who have, as you put it, been petty. Not everyone is cool with paying more for less, putting blind faith in tesla and ignoring all the issues. even if they can afford it.

Stretching to get a truck may be stupid, but so is throwing money at something that's twice as expensive, than originally expected and not complete. And it'll feel even more stupid when the price comes down and us, "petty" people scoop it up for tens of thousands less.

There is one thing these threads are always full of. It's people who can't critically think about the world from other people's perspectives. Elon isn't going to notice you

That's a laugher. Back on the ole 500 mile thing and it's more expensive. Haven't we all known about that.

Yep enjoy the Rivian cash burn, and a company going backwards not forwards on EV's.

I will keep enjoying my Cybertruck. As you all keep hating on it or making excuses of why you don't want to pull the trigger.

Why would I want Elon to notice me? Confused ? now. I am just a normal guy enjoying life. Elon seems pretty complicated.
