This is my experience too. The old guys tend to love it. It's the millennial diesel Boyz that seem to really struggle.Nothing but extremely positive reactions so far, including a “chefs kiss” from a guy on a motorcycle.
Guys an older pick ups (10 years old or more) tend to thumbs up or ask about it.
Could be my imagination, but I’ve specifically noticed anyone in higher-end newer pick ups (lifted, top level, etc) drive past me as if they don’t even see the truck. Anything that was likely $60k or more. Just complete stare ahead.
Elon does daily drive a CB, so I guess this isn't completely wrong. A lot of people, journalists included, falsely assume it was designed by Elon. It's true he set the requirements, but the design itself and implementation of elon's requirements were done mostly by Hanz and his team. The running joke that elon designed it from a children's drawing is funny, but not true ?Also some seem to equate the Cybertruck with Elon Musk himself

Yes, that's the joke origin ? but it was taken too far imo when it turned into fact. Even Jason Camissa mentioned it as fact, sadly. It doesn't really matter, but CT haters love to latch on to that.but
Franz tells the story that they revealed it to Elon and he had no idea about the design. But then Elon eludes to the design com ing from him and his kid. I believe Franz.
It’s eye opening to see how many “friends” judge you based on driving a Tesla, and especially showing any remote interest in a CT. If they’re judging you that hard on your choice of vehicle, you know they’re judging you on everything else in life too.I’ve received more than a few birds now as well, there’s certainly something off with people who choose to flip the bird at someone based on the vehicle they drive if you ask me. I just ignore it. There’s plenty of vehicles i don’t care for and certainly would never consider owning, but I’ve never felt the need to communicate my own personal opinion to those owners.
Probably because they still have huge truck payments, and they don't want to acknowledge they are paying all that money on last century technology. It's best if they pretend like Cybertruck doesn't exist yet. They will get one after they have paid off their oil burner.Nothing but extremely positive reactions so far, including a “chefs kiss” from a guy on a motorcycle.

I got into a conversation with a diesel boy that really hated the truck. Once I told him that I leave home with a full "tank" every morning and that it's essentially "free," he didn't have many criticisms about the price tag anymore. Subjectivity like looks side, once you realize that ANY comparable ICE truck will cost you (optimistically) $60k in gas alone to drive it 200k miles... CT doesn't seem to so expensive....Probably because they still have huge truck payments, and they don't want to acknowledge they are paying all that money on last century technology. Both can be true, although Elon's kid didn't draw a triangular truck, as far as I know. He did ask Elon why things don't look like like we thought they would look, why the future doesn't look like the future.but

Just leave out the part about the phantom drain! I have two peeves with the truck in total. One is that it definitely uses energy while just sitting in my driveway doing absolutely nothing. I get much better cost per mile than my old truck while driving, but my old truck didn’t leak gas essentially while it was sitting there.I got into a conversation with a diesel boy that really hated the truck. Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on with with chargers. They are pretty crummy. I've heard that the newer galaxy phones are perfect on them(?), needs confirmation though. But you shouldn't need to buy a phone that's compatible with a wireless charger, no thanks! I suspect they'll get replaced, or adjusted somehow, but they do need something changed there for sure!Just leave out the part about the phantom drain! I have two peeves with the truck in total. My other is the phone chargers that boil my iPhone and don’t charge it.
Same in the Model 3. Something about the phone not laying flat on the charger. Try rotating the phone 180°. I haven’t tried it, but wonder if the MagSafe case would help..My other is the phone chargers that boil my iPhone and don’t charge it.
There has to be some kind of correlation between rolling coal on random people and intelligence. These are the same type of people that run bicycles off the road with their overcompensating trucks…Or, maybe they're just of lesser intelligence. Just consider how smart the average person is and then consider that half of the people out there are stupider than that.
