agreed it’s worse than it looks here. It is in the line of sight and I did have to hunch down to see properly. Going around curves in the rain at night was not fun.I see a number of ppl already said they have the same issue in this thread. I didn't count up but perhaps do a poll? Those who don't have the truck yet, please try your best to not be dismissive or add too much noise as us CT owners track down to see if it's whether it's a one off issue. Something that can easily be rectified. Or if there is an actual design, engineering issue with the extra long arm and the middle hinge point putting uneven pressure.
I have the same issue as the op. Seems exactly the same arc too. Have not raised the alarm yet because I figured I can do a more thorough clean and see if I can get to the bottom of it myself. My initial thought was perhaps the big red bow they had on the truck during delivery left some residue that the wiper picked up.
I first noticed it because it rain the day of my delivery. And the streak made it really hard to view through the windshield at night time with the oncoming headlights. The static photo the OP posted doesn't convey the issue completely. I felt like I had blurry vision. And unfortunately, the streak area is perfectly in my line of sight.
I had to slouch and lower the seat in order to get a better view out of the clean portion of the windshield. Once at home, I did a good clean and even used alcohol at the blurry area. But issue seems to persist.
So I'm kindda glad to see this thread. Because it suggest there is some tuning/adjusting that Tesla may need to do to some CT's wiper since it's not just my truck that seem to have the issue. Time will tell whether this is a more widespread issue or only affect the handful of us who has replied so far on this thread.
Ironically, the rest of the windshield gets clean properly. It's just the driver's vision that is left with blur.
