This all reminds me of when the R1T started getting delivered...we had the same type of threads popping up over in those forums about how dare someone else get a delivery before them.

The delivery order was odd, didn't make much sense, and upset more than a few. But the fact is, we don't know what basis they're using, nor will we know. So just hang in there, and your turn will come eventually. Dwelling on it or trying to figure it out will only get you more frustrated.

So being mad about this sort of thing, is more normal than some might realize. Sounds like there is room for serious improvement here then.

i think the reaction you're getting, is in large part that while you're *saying* eg you're "genuinely looking to understand", you're not interacting like someone who is either genuine or interested in hearing anything other than a second of your emotions.

I don't know what's more awkward: that you feel this is a thing to "win," or that you might hate losing by a technicality

If that’s the case, you’ve lived a very charmed life. So take your multiple teslas, your $500,000 in TSLA stock and do some real introspection. Maybe spend some as a volunteer at a Children’s Hospital or a Cancer treatment center to reevaluate how hard your life is right now. Hell I’ll even meet you at the front door of the Anshultz campus Children’s Hospital and I’ll show you what real disappointment looks like.

I am genuinely listening to what you and others are saying... hahaha. I am mad, but not each and every reply I am making on this thread is with anger. I am not mad at folks here providing insight and info. I am mad at Tesla for how they are handling all this.

I am allowed to be mad at Tesla. Besides the crowd who is looking to rile things up, I am genuinely having conversation with them.

Getting furious over here. Now there are multiple example of people with reservations behind mine that have gotten invitations to order. I am in CO and have 2 reservations. Stock holder, owned multiple teslas.... WTAF

Tesla has made this among the most disappointing things in my life. After 4 years of excitement and waiting patiently they f^%king skip me??? WTF! It wasn't free either. I placed $ down 4 years ago for my spot in line, and they are straight up passing over me. I am furious.

If you felt that way, sure. I didn't feel that way. I was given a Cybertruck MotorVehicle Pre-Order Agreement when I put $100 down. To me, a pre-order means the way I described it, a pre-order is different than a reservation to me. You are certainly free to interpret that how you see fit for you.

Might want to read your Pre-Order Agreement again. It doesn’t say your $100 down is guaranteeing a specific spot in line to purchase a Cybertruck.

Why is this ramping up man.,.. lol. I am actually not even as mad as I was when I started this. I was extra mad when I started this because I was getting calls from friends who got their orders yesterday while I was skipped.

I think everyone needs to chill the F out now. I am seriously not sure why this is ramping up. Can someone explain?

Yeah I am not going to write Elon. If Tesla thinks this is an OK way to do business and treat their customers.... I may just break ties from Tesla. Been a die hard fan for over a Decade now. My office is littered with Tesla merch and collectibles. I feel like a complete and total fool.

The magic is broken now that I have been passed over for something I paid $100 each for 4 years ago. Tesla F^&ked up. It doesn't mean anything to them, and they obviously don't care. That is a big part of the problem though. How can a company think its a good idea to do that to their die hard customers? Their shareholders? Their ambassadors? Insane.

Its not hard to send an invite to those with orders in order they were made... There are now confirmed orders all around me where I live that have confirmed placed orders that are behind me in the queue. Again, I can't even begin to explain how furious I am. I feel completely betrayed by a company and their stupid decisions. They took my money for my spot in line. The bare minimum is that they honor that. Passing me over is not acceptable.

I think you should take a deep breath and calm down.

Increased price
Drastically reduced range
etc

Would have been much less disappointed and frustrated if there was some communication over the last 4 years from Tesla other than.

39k truck, reserve yours now, 500+ miles of range 2019 -> 2024 $80,+$20K truck, reservation=lottery, 340maybe 180 towing

A bit of a letdown was expected, but across a few big metrics and with no warning after 4 years is hitting some people pretty hard.

Say there are six windows taking orders at Costco for pizza. Sometimes someone in another line gets their pizza before me even though I ordered first! This isn’t exactly fair and it really will make no difference in the long run. But if you are super hungry or in a super hurry, it could be frustrating. You wait and seemingly, a lot of other customers get their pizza before you. You wonder “did they lose my order?” “ are they picking on me?” “I’ve been a Costco card member for years! I shop here all the time! I even own their stock!” But sooner or later, your number is picked, you eat your pizza and move on with your life.

I doubt there is maliciousness on behalf of Costco in this admittedly made up scenario and I doubt there is in how Tesla is managing their ordering. But I can understand the frustration. We have all been hungry for the CT for years.

Everything with me comes down to pizza and zombies. Thanks for listening
